Petrol/diesel? 15 per mid should be around 12 real I guess. Congrats by the way.

Guys is Trip B always shows life time fuel efficiency? Thats what Showroom guy told me. I wanted to book now but somehow I am feeling I should book in 2017 and get 2017 model.

Also noy sure what Showroom to buy from in Bangalore. Tested vehicles in Prerna motors near BTM and Concorde Motors opp JP Morgan. Both saying PID would be done after down payment [anger]

Will try Tata Showroom in Brookefield when I get time. Will start new thread soon on this discussion.

Nope, its our wish to use tirp B as we want. God knows when sales reps will actually learn their stuff [frustration].

Re: Tata Tiago Petrol XZ - A Layman's Review

Tiago has a weird and probably unknown setup to adjust headlight throw for high beam:
Step 1: Switch ON low beam
Step 2: Change/adjust throw level
Step 3: Now switch to high beam to see the change.

Hopefully, this short video clip explains it better than my words:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ab5mDpp-28&feature=youtu.be

Special thanks to Raunak (Tiago WhatsApp group member) who first shared with the group. Apparently none of us knew this existed and didn't believe his words until it was confirmed by few other owners.

Re: Tata Tiago Petrol XZ - A Layman's Review

This setup is "available" in all the cars with single barrel headlights with level adjustments. It was there in my first gen Indigo too.

REASON: The headlamp leveler changes the angle of the whole reflector. And since low beam and high beam operate in the same light, any change in angle effects both.

Only thing to note is that the leveler only works when the light is in low beam.

That's a decent explanation. Thanks buddy! [:)]

Re: Tata Tiago Petrol XZ - A Layman's Review

Mine is also petrol. I've also driven around 300+ kms and getting around 15. And yes, AC is very powerful. I think probably it's new car because I feel it's powerful than my Verna and Fiesta.

One more iissue in the first week of purchase. Mobile charger stopped working day 1. When checked with service station they said fuse was gone and changed it. Again it stopped working since yesterday. I guess this is a problem with my charger (but the same charger works fine with my Verna and Fiesta). I'll have to change fuse again

What chargers you guys use? Now, the service center will suggest Tata's charger which will definitely be around 1000 Rs.

Congrats on your new ride. Yes I used to get 15 ish on the MID during initial running. Don't worry too much about mileage for at least 1500 KM.

I use Amazon Basics as well as a no-name charger that came with my dashcam (which is plugged in all the time). No need to buy Tata's charger but get one that is trustworthy.

I checked in Tata service today. They have changed fuse again and said have tightened the corresponding wire, and I should face this issue no more. Let's see.

Re: Tata Tiago Petrol XZ - A Layman's Review

So last week I started hearing a 'tak' sound at every stop point while opening/closing driver's door. I looked closer and found the screw on the door hinge was loose already. Got it tightened at a FNG as I was at my hometown over the weekend.

The mech however was praising the car for its steering, suspension, chain driven engine, easy access to oil filter and all the loaded features at this price point. He also unscrewed and pulled out the cabin air filter and appreciated the good quality filter used by Tata (FYI - He worked in Toyota Service for several years in the middle east).
