Re: Tata Tiago Petrol XZ - A Layman's Review

Hi, I'm sorry if i've missed it in your previous posts. Where did you get your mud flaps, floor mats, car cover etc installed? From the dealer? How much did they charge you?
Mud flaps and floor mats (rubber) were free by dealer. Installed some no-name noodle mats from an accessory shop later. I didn't buy a car cover.

Meanwhile please post the pics of your now in transit child seat once you will have fitted in your car.
It arrived yesterday, will check it out and post updates soon.

Off the topic, i have opted for getting my Tiago without alloys as it will add another 15 days to the already 60 days waiting period.
As per Tiago accessories price list, the alloys will cost 27K which i feel is way too much for what it is worth. Now i had to find some nice looking alloys either online or in shop.
As you rightly said, there are better choices at cheaper rates from outside.

Re: Tata Tiago Petrol XZ - A Layman's Review

Hi Santhosh,
I didn't get a good feel for the "Jack N Jill by R for Rabbit" model either. Though its fabric quality and cushioning are great, plastics feel nimble and most importantly its loose after fitting in the car (as Tiago doesn't have a manual belt retract lock). Adding to my confusion, the seat belt also flips behind the car seat which I believe is a compromise in safety (read in my Graco user manual).

To my bad luck, the Babyoye model is out of stock in-store and online. My child seat hunt continues..

Hi Prabhagar,
Sorry to hear about that. I wish we had more options for child seats in India. Anyone desperate to have a proper child seat may now have to look at Chicco Child Seats. They are quite popular in Europe. But of course, it comes with a premium !!!

Sad truth buddy. I am gonna try the Babyoye model this week with a compromise on color. It had a locking clip on both sides of the car seat to keep it in place. Retails for 6.5K approx.

Read the whole thread and kudos for such an expressive thread[clap]

Wonder how I missed it from the start, anyway Subscribed [:D]
Thank you Vichu for your time and appreciation. [:)]

Please raise a complaint in TMSC app and demo those vibrations/sound to your service advisor when they attend to your complaint. In my case, dashboard vibrations have reduced drastically after 2000 KM around which I happened to switch from Indian Oil to a HP COCO fuel station. So I cannot affirm what triggered this in my car but ECU update has nothing to do with vibrations IMHO. Let us know how it goes with your complaint.

Vibrations can be solved by an ecu update? That's quite odd. Can you pin point the source of vibrations? It is unlikely to be fixed by an ecu update, unless it has something to do with ecu behavior withh engine/rpm and related stuffs.

Maxed out FE mark on my way back from fuel station. Note that its is only a short trip to show-off the magic number [glasses]. Real world weather and road conditions along with driver's patience play a major role in FE numbers.

Without a doubt, Tiago will beat i10 in terms of FE. i10 is notorious for it's poor FE badge. Tiago on the other hand, is better than i10 in many areas. Happy diwali!
