Came back from a trip to Rajsthan, the ODO on my Storme is 20k+. Enjoyed every moment of driving and no issues at all (not even slight rattling). On one empty road reached 140kmph but then cam back to normal sped of 90-100 kmph. Storme on higher speed was very balanced on the road.

True, Storme is very balance even at 130 KMPH. However, I have felt that there should have been the 6th gear. On the 5th the engine has to be revved upto 2.5K RPM to reach 120-130 KMPH. That increases cabin noise. Hence stay around 100-110 in my drives.

@vikyjoshi,
Yes, some times 6th gear is missed[roll].

Hi Guys,

Came back from Rishikesh trip (Rafting) yesterday with my friends in Storme. Covered 642 Kms in two days on good and very bad roads without any issue as at all, not even slight rattling. The ODO now display 23069 Kms. really happy with my ride [:D]

Exactly my words, I so miss the 6th gear in the storme, I have reached 160 on the NH1 but the revs were too high, since then have made sure not go beyond 130.

I have lost my RHS rear wheel cap(plastic one's) is it possible to get it from somewhere else or TATA dealership is my only option?

Hi Mukesh
A beautiful car & an equally good review, I just joined the community & as an automotive enthusiast i believe i should have done that long time ago, well better late than never-lol
I have TD the Storme EX & VX & i feel EX is a more value for money & these days the offer too is pretty good (Tata is offering 3 years Insurance off the top) which translates into a saving of almost Rs1.2L. Well offers apart I have my heart set on the Storme but since TATA vehicles are known for quality issues i just have one question in mind is Storme a reliable vehicle & after having owned one yourself for over a year would you recommend it to someone.
Q2 TATA is working on a facelift/ upgrade would you recommend i wait for it or buy one right away

Wait for new model as it is speculated to have more advancements.

Hi Zogi,

I am using Storme since more than 1.5 years now, to be very true; Yes there were some issues related to rattling and noise from clutch and dealer was not able to solve the issue but then i involved TATA people and every thing was done. After that i never faced any issue and am loving my machine. TASS is improving significantly. So according to me you can very well buy Storme, for waiting of new storme depends on you wether you are able to wait since there is no news of launch date. Even though it's always better to wait for new model but you will miss the discounts. My advice to you is wait till next model is launched and if it's expensive then i am sure that you can get the current Storme from some dealer.

Thanks for the reply Mukesh, yes if the new launch is expensive I can always negotiate with a dealer on the outgoing model, I hope Tata doesn't do that since they are not selling too many of them already[:)]

Absolutely Sandy I am with you on this, its like Tata is taking forever[anger]

Tata has not responded well to time frames in the past that's why they have always taken a beating from Mahindra, I hope they learn from their mistakes

@mukesh
Bro which gps device are you using?
What's the initial and maintenance cost?
Thanks.
Hey Sandy,
I got the GPS device from TASS for around 20K (i know that it's very expensive) and right after a week when i bought it then TASS slashed the price to 11K[frustration]. I can track my vehicle online using a website and am paying around 3000 per year for this service. Moreover i can also get the information on my cellphone using messages and even can stop the car using a message. The company name is Balintracker that i am using but you can find other options in the market as well.
