Re: Scoop! New Tata Safari (aka Merlin) To Launch Soon
No, the gestation period for this vehicle will be Zero as a lot of testing has been done on this vehcile. Remember this is based on Aria Platform and many parts have been shared with Aria so most of the niggles are already taken care because of Aria.
I fear this is not true. Infact, since it is based on the Aria, it needs even more testing as the Aria itself has shown some major niggles.
I beleive this vehicle might not have niggles. Even Toyota Etios and Liva has niggles. Honda City has niggles. Honda Accord had niggles.
True. this is just not for TATA. But you have to be more careful with TATA when compared to Honda & Toyota.
^^
I am also pleasantly surprised that how niggle free Aria has been for a Tata, apart from two breakdowns of office cabs, nevertheless most private customers of Aria, on TAI and other forums as well as general community are happy, and that's what really matters.Hoping for the same in new Storm.
"NIGGLE FREE"? Really? Why are you repeatedly calling those Aria "office cabs" buddy? Did you check with the owners before calling it a cab? Well, based on the PM he sent to me -
The arias were not "cabs". they were bought by the organization to be used by 2 of their CEOs and they had designated drivers for them. they were not meant to be abused. which company buys a 18 lakh Aria as a cab? Both the Arias broke down within few months buddy, please dont say that they were so abused that they could not handle 5000 kms of "torture". They broke down not once, not twice but 3 times, on the road.
Are you really saying private customers of Aria does not face issues? I know you are well aware of all the issues Aria customers are facing as even you browse other forums as I do. What about the case where an Aria was kept in the A.S.S. for 25 days without repairs as parts dint arrive? What about the case where technicians dint know how to repair the car even after 2 years of launch & the car was stranded & waiting for TATA guys to come (this happened just a few kms away from TATA's manufacturing plant). what about the case where a customer's HU was not working from day one? what about the case where another customer had clutch failures? I am not even mentioning the minor niggles like GPS not working, etc.
I understand you are a TATA fan, but when it is in an open forum, please put across honest facts & dont misguide others. Its a lot of money at stake. It also affects the quality & genuinity of posts in the forum. Thanks.
