well let see what tata has to show as long as they can give less niggle car and better ASS we have no problem with tata give us 2.0 2.2 2.6 3.0 or 5.0 hehe

Yes you are right master.But my disappointment is that we still have to wait 6 more months before we finally get Merlin.Remember I suggested you to wait for Merlin till auto-expo, similarly I have suggested many other friends to wait till 6th january, when they will know that it will be launched in June,then....[gun].

well i didn't waited because they are going to remove rear tire from rear door which i loved most because it complete its classic look :tongue:(which i am die hard fan of this design)

Yes got the news from some senior person in Tata Motors Dealer,

That new safari will be unveiled in Auto Expo but will be launch after 2-3 months.

They have finally quoted 11L for Aria 4x2 Pure. so i have put my final quote of 10.6L.

Lets see how they'll react.

and yes in front of me 3 people have booked Aria 4x2 Pure and Pleasure variant.

As per Tata people they have sold more than 350 4x2 Aria Pure in the month of Dec only in NCR. (lets see how true this news is...)

According to my tata dealer "Baudev Auto(Ranchi/Hazaribag)" they have sold about 25 Aria in amongst the discounts.[:)]

As far as New Safari is concerned if Tata launch it only 2-3 months after its unveiling in auto expo, then its fine, but my tata dealer is saying that the launch will only take place in May or June which is full 6 months away from now[frustration].

well guys i feel tata will see peoples response for merlin @ auto expo and launch it accordingly in future if they change anything or modify it!

Yes Tata will look at the response from people in coming Auto Expo.

But they should also remember what kind of response they hv got from people regarding ARIA in last Auto Expo but due bad pricing could not translate it to sales.

Hope this time they must keep this in mind and lauch it earlier and at a reasonable price... (around 8.5L base model)...

I'll be the first one to book the new safari at that price point...[clap]

This is a sad news to me. :( I have waited a lot and another 6 more months, i will lose the resel value of my current vechile

As per the info available on internet and seeing the ownership reviews of existing Tata Safari, it is better to wait for the new one as existing one has many quality and reliabilty issues, and all of them are reported in detail by exisiting owners.

Infact exsisting safari now costs 9L OTR Delhi and with discounts (around 90K) it costs about 8.1L with 4yrs AMC, one can go ahead.

But personally i dont want to loose time in ASS centre again and again. Even With AMC it will be free of charge but peace of mind????????

So wait for new one..

Safari and Scorp has been with the same design for a very very long time now and so was wanting to change to a new design. I was so close of bookin for Xuv but unfortunatly i was little late and booking got closed. I wanted to see this Merlin first before putting my money on Xuv and so the wait began. Investing hard earned on Tata vechile is never a sure bet (no offence to anyone) so waiting for atleast a review from experts. Also, did not want to Book Xuv and feel bad on the decision after the release.

XUV bookings will re-open recently with a little price hike.
Then wait for six months if your heart is really falling on Merlin,don't know why Tata is delaying to bring this vehicle![frustration]

Maybe because this time Tata really doesn't want to do the R&D via it's customers and rectify all niggles before launching the Merlin in the market. On second thoughts, who knows....?

Hi All,

Just had a talk with SA with whom iam in touch for ARIA, as per information given to them is that TATA is Launching the Safari on 6th Jan and bookings will commence soon in January itself. It would be placed a level below than Tata Aria in terms of Pricing, so im expecting a price of Rs 8.5L for base 4x2 LS version.[:D]

So iam starting my arrangement of finances, so that i can book it ASAP.....
