i would prefer old safari any day compare to merlin even XUV interior is better

well, I like the cabin, especially the rotary german car style headlight stalk. it looks very neat. wooden inserts also look nice.
But the dash is too thin for an SUV, looks like a car's dash. It is devoid of any switches in the centre console & lacks that feature rich car appeal. Also, the stereo should be integrated.

I for one like the interior- its nice and clean without much over the top styling. However to make such simple interiors feel premium, quality of material & fit & finish should be top notch (like Skoda & VW). Whether TML could raise the standard is remain to be seen.
For single din system, if they are providing a high end single din system with iPod connectivity & Bluetooth (say alpine iDA series) then its ok. IMHO, single din systems offer more options to owner for upgrading their ICE later.
Its good to note that interiors are all new. But TML could have done the same in exterior also. It looks pretty similar to present Safari specially in side profile.

What I don't like
The central console, looks like from a generation old car.
What I like
1] The gear lever, looks classy.
2] The side profile/glove box area , looks a direct lift from vintage Jaguars/British cars.
3] The wood finish in the latest pic as well the mat finish in the earlier dash pic, both looks high quality.
4] The interiors look like they use high quality materials, just look at the lower glove box area, the plastics there have a seductive sheen, hallmark of high quality.
Comm'on Tata just launch it quick , our patience is running out.

The more I look at these new dash pics the more they resemble the dashboard of classic British cars to me , Carl Peter Forester effect perhaps?
