Re: Tata Safari 3.0 Dicor: Burnt, Recovered and Reclaiming @91,000 Kms
I went to my local electrician today, and he just changed the "Temperature T", both the fans stopped and the check engine light is gone now. The "Temperature T" used was second hand and the mechanic took 200 Rs for it and 150 Rs labour. Although, I could'nt check if the fans start working when the temperature reaches half mark, thanks to the rainy season the temperature needle refused to climb above 1/4th whatever I tried.
P.S: The AC gas needs tobe refilled there is no cooling and everything which runs under AC system is alright from mechanicals to electricals, got it checked today, another 1500 Rs gone for AC gas.
@samdinkar: Might not be the case if 3.0L motor is used to its full potential. This engine, in its current state, is a very capable horse and can easily make others eat dust if perfectly tuned. I can feel the horses of this engine being tapped down due to reasons known to Tata, Its just the tuning not going perfect. Otherwise, a 2.2 is nothing, remember "Nothing can replace Displacement!"
