Re: Tata Safari 3.0 Dicor: Burnt, Recovered and Reclaiming @65,000 Kms

There is left pulling problem even when the camber is right (checked today while wheel alignment). Although the Caster is way out but I don't think it might be the cause of left pulling.

basically used to reduce scratch on windshield please correct me
@ mercedised

What is windshield polishing and what are its advantages?
As mastersquall told, if you experience excessive circular glares on the windshield at nights when the light of oncoming vehicles falls on your windshield then there are only 2 options either replace the windshield or polish it. Basically, they remove very thin layer of glass so as to remove minor scratches.:)

Respect!!My apology to jump in here..have been following some threads as I am planning to buy an used Tata safari Dicor 3.0l LX 2007.
Please help me decide, the car has done 34K. I am trying to deal from a fren who moved to Delhi 2 years back and left his car in his mumbai home. Hardly driven even twice a month since then (only occasionally when he visited mumbai) and finally decided to sell off..and the price for 4l...my apology again for jumping in..

Meanwhile, the car got punctured today and the culprit was the nozzle of the tubeless tyre. Got it repaired for 80 INR and currently the on duty tyres are Michelin LTX.

I am thinking of adding a nice HU and LCD for movies and other blah blah.. purposes. Speakers will be stock as I like to hear music at low levels. What should be the ideal DVD player within 7K which could play movies from DVD and USB both?

So far I have only used Sony and Nippon (a Kenwood brand). While I had trouble free experience with Sony, the Nippon was a headache to maintain.

Could you suggest some better names? under 10K-11K?

Vehicle @82K kms and going smooth. Recently a bulb (left side) got kaput and an Activa girl went straight into the rear fog lamp (Oh I hate these girls) [frustration] Will have to shell out 350 Rs also, the hub caps are now broken thanks to the tyre rotation guy who never cared and broke 2 of them.[frustration] No other problems! The car lets me have a peaceful sleep.[sleep] hehehe...

Hey man, nice safari. I am surprised you got such a great deal & got it redone here in Indore. It requires a lot of patience [:)]

Finally, the alignment is back to normal. The mechanic at TASC tightened and greased the bell-crank (as per him) and realigned.[:)]
