@Raja Thanks for your appreciation. Aria is not a bad car but am not sure with other Tata vehicles. This is not my first Tata car as I already had Indica V2 and so I know the quality of Tata vehicles and also at that time service was not too good.Coming to Aria is totaly a different scenario as I reviewed a lot about it and had a deep study with its quality and also service. After the join with Jaguar I heard Aria had better quality with interiors and thats true and also they will be forced to keep atleast some level of standard, engine is proven,i heard thru Aria owners that the service is premium and priority is given for aria and it is true and I could see that with my car service as well.Considering all these and for the features, mind blowing space aria was best for me and I went for it,I could see so much love when I write this but before buying I was very conscious and when I went in for Aria i had confidence with Tata service that whatever goes wrong it can be rectified either at the service centre or any mechanic as for them TATA vehicles are home ground always. So buying Aria I was aware that I may end up with some service issues but will be given priority and importance as it is evident that Aria is TATA's prestige problem now.I was also aware that Aria is far away from other TATA vehicles interms of quality and reliability and with that confidence i went in and i do not regret but at the same time if its going beyond the limit I may not risk but just go in for some other vehicle.Apart from it if TATA is going to get a car better than Aria I would just go for a happy exchange.

Re: Tata Motor’s Cars – The Ultimate Reliability Survey

@justin You are true, problems I faced were not big but only thing is that I loose confidence and its too much stress hitting the service centre over and over. For instance I took my car delivery last saturday after a paint peel complaint near my right door and now i notice some more bubbles and slighter peels happening at different points, now I have raised the complaint and if its rectified I had to hit the centre again.I really did not get time to drive and its run only 1600 and bought oct 2011 and not even a year old.I accept what you had told,Yes they are doing fine and the response given by the service centre is amazing and I guess we both are communicating with the same person (South CC manager) and he is very helpful and attentive.Initially I also tried toll free number but he could not talk anything apart from hindi and sent complaint in website but no response and only then I got hold of the dealership I bought and they diverted me to concern persons. After that all my complaints were intimated to the head office and is rectified under their guidance and I had also met some technical team who took the feedback personally at the service centre. As you said they handle the problems the same manner getting pictures from me and sending to the head office for further approval of work.
@gurralla I am sorry i did not understand where you want me to post the thread and I replied you at both the points
I'll forward this thread link again to tata motors to have a look. I hope they will do things right. But, i have some different story about the complaint registration via their website. I got a mail with ticket number. Nextday they called me. That same day they forwarded it to my dealership. In few minutes the dealership called me. After 2 days, more than 3 peoples from different city called me to confirm my happiness. I think, they improved a lot now. Can you send a online complaint with all problems you faced with the link of your ownership review? Then lets check now what they are doing.

I think all problems are purely by unprofessional service peoples.

Dear o dear.Vishwas Bhai if the brake pedal is pulsating while hard application :it simply means that your ABS system is working perfectly.[:)]

Take a look at this link:Anti-Lock Brakes | Motoring | RACQ
During ABS brake operation the driver may notice the brake pedal pulsing or “kicking back” under the foot, thumping noises from the pedal area, and vibration in the vehicle body and steering. These are all normal characteristics and do not indicate malfunctioning, though many drivers may find these sensations a little alarming the first time they experience them.

Vishwas has given scores as per his benchmark. And 80% seems to be a good score. Everyone wont give 10 on 10. Its subjective.
+100 you are right it's after all owners choice to give the rating .

Just to make clear and be fair member terrace77 vote must not be counted here as he is not past/ present owner of any tata car .

Re: Tata Motor’s Cars – The Ultimate Reliability Survey

I never own TATA. But I know a person who owns TATA Indica DLS since 2001 with odo 2.75L+ & still going strong with more strong Belt noice.[lol]

No half way break down, nothing major except Clutch plates change twice. Without complete ENGINE OVERHAUL.

As good practice he always use "System-D" in fuel, light footed driving & took extreme care of everything.

I have driven above mentioned car, it kept in pristine condition by owner. But now days it's became sluggish & engine become lifeless. Need to change FIP.

Cheers.

I heard my name So the devil is here.

Ex Indica vista qjet owner-First ever car in my Home !

I have come to this thread today only. good to notice satisfied Tata owners.

One and only one thing daunted me most of the time is when somebody said thier tata car wont rattle.( big LOL from my side). of course I believe new 2012 Tata cars wont rattle somehow as the have changed the polymer to more elastic ones.

The rattling issue in cheaper car is not some mysterious problem Inherent in Tata and Maruti cars only but the manufacturers cut corners in selection of materials.

There are 3 types of "rattle" in any car I know so far and all three could be heard from any given stock Tata car you can drive unless it is highly modified.

My experience was disappointing and I hate to do the brick-batting everywhere.

in 1 year/12kkm

I did not had to visit service center Often but They never delivered the car in promised time nor they cleaned it properly and asked me to put good marks on feedback forms ,Pardon my innocence I thought somebody may feel bad so I did give full marks for shoddy work couple of times .( enlightenment happened much later after joining TAI!!)

twice it broke on middle of road for clutch cylinder failure issue- I thought It was my mistake but they acted as if they did a big favour by rectifying it Free of cost under warrenty and asked me to pay the consumable around Rs500 including some oil etc,(My knowledge was limited so I thought god saved me from big expenditure )

Mileage was always less than 16kmph. when I notified after (2k km )this to ASS they said they can do anything only after 10Kkm.

After 10k km I reminded them again about the FE issue for which they said they will have to run it with full tank (fuel expence from my pocket) and do the analysis if there is some issue they have to take it back to manufacturer in Maharashtra.
Fortunate for them I was not Involved with any auto forums or TAI so they got away scaring me to hell.

a funny one is the side beading of the front wind shield which becomes zigzag and greyish due to weathering or something. I asked them to fix it for which they said "we have nothing to do about such things we can suggest you contact the manufacturer "

We are three people who owned Tata cars and decided never to own it again.

My story you guys have read it

Other one was early Indica he had the radiator Boiling issue which nobody could find a solution. at times his car would look like steam engine or dragon puffing out steam from nose sold it within two year and bought wagon R. he drives skoda octy and Maruti swift now

Third is an elderly Person who is fond of Indian products and loved to buy Tata product(not anymore).
his car was Indica Vista TDI . There was some consistent issues with doors and windows. after many visits finally the issues were solved untill for a week when passenger side door flung opened in middle of traffic. he thanked God million times that it dint hit anything or anybody. tied it with Handkerchief and left within a month sold it off and Bought a Volkswagen Polo.

Hope you might have got the Picture .

Re: Tata Motor’s Cars – The Ultimate Reliability Survey

Thanx a lot for taking time and effort to write your take on tata motors their a.s.s and cars Jaydev .[clap]
The thread is exactly meant for this . Good, bad , excellent and worse all kind of experience as a owner .
See now this becomes a authentic review since jaydev has been a owner , this is precisely iam saying owners are in much better capacity to share their experiences and their testimony counts the most rather then some 1 who is commenting without owning one .
