Re: Tata Manza Detailed Test Drive Report

^^
Yup somehow that's true. You need to stand in TASS to get your work done.Recently I spent close to 7 hours just for normal servicing of my XETA.And they are facing spares issue as well.I myself returned without getting the fuel filter changed which the SA promised within a week.Thankfully he is a man of his word and I got my fuel filter replaced exactly after a week.

But number of Manzas on road has increased in the last 3 months and not only Manza even Aria,Nano,Vista,Venture all of them are much more visible on our roads thanks to solid sales by TATA in the last three months.

I thik Manza shares its engine/transmission/clutch with fiat,so delays in spares may be because of Fiat you never know.

Re: Tata Manza Detailed Test Drive Report

For people raving about the ride quality of the Manza, I would suggest them to have a ride in cars like Verito, Classic Fiesta or Linea.

I was in Goa for the past 2 days & we had hired a cab. It was a white Manza. I have been driven around in Manza before also. The ride is okay at slow speeds but as the speed increases, it is not even close to the cars I mentioned above. The ride is jittery & never settled. Sharper intrusions filter annoyingly into the cabin. Infact, even my Punto rides better.

Regarding spares taking time, from my recent experience, I would say that it is because of TATA, even FIAT owners have to wait for spares & not the other way round. In my experience, TATA's A.S.S. made me wait for 3 weeks but when I contacted FIAT, I got the said part in 3 working days. TATA manages the inventory, not FIAT.

.
I have also experienced sharper intrusions filtering in badly, enough to get down and see
recently in my manza. But can not blame TATA for the same, as I never experienced it in my old indigo ls. So manza is not leaps ahead in every aspect as compared to preceding indigo.

Re: Tata Manza Detailed Test Drive Report

For every car manufacturer, after sales is a problem. I had both Maruti zen and Tata manza. It all depends upon the relationship we build with the service center. Maruti ASS is equally bad. And as for niggles in a new cars, you can read owners complaining about their new Scorpios, Dizire, etc. So Tata is not an exception.
No , If we read jdpower associates custemer satisfaction surveys for ASS in India, for last few years, we can find that maruti suzuki has top most ranking for nine years in a row. While tatas struggling at no. 8 , though there is improvement recently i.e. no.5. Hyundai, honda exchanging positon at no. 2&3, while toyota & chevrolet exchanging position s at no 4&5.

Jd power surveys are considered reliable world wide.

Re: Tata Manza Detailed Test Drive Report

The last time I drove Manza, I didn't feel any sharp intrusion whatsoever.I even tried my best to get the car unsettled by deliberately throwing it on major tarmac undulations and by entering potholes without any brakes. But the car rode absolutely fine and gave me a feel of carpet ride.I think both Punto and linea have wider rubber/tyres than Manza, one should try Manza with 195/60 R15 section tyres, it should even further improve the ride quality.

I speak from personal experience, not based on some survey. My Zen was serviced/repaired by Bimal, one of Maruti's best and award winning service station in Bangalore. I also had similar experience in Maruti Service Masters in Chennai.

I am not claiming Tata ASS is any better than others. They are equally bad.

As for ride comfort, I will say that Manza is around the same as Honda City. But I felt that Ford cars, Icon and Fiesta, have better ride quality (suspension system). I have not tried fiat cars, so cannot comment on them.

Today, I saw a newly delivered ' manza aura' in tyrian wine color. I was not able to see interior color.

In december 11, tyrian wine color was reserved for abs, elan and celebration varients only.

When the Aura+ was discontinued and Elan introduced in Feb 2011, Tyrian wine was a premium colour exclusive for Elan.

Now it seems all trim levels are available in Tyrian wine colour.

Which is a really good thing, because though tyrian wine is little difficult to maintain, but once fully clean looks lustrous and amazing especially during sunshine.Lets see if this move can give them some more volumes or not?

Tyrian wine looks great only if it is maintained in showroom like condition.
After few kilometres of running it looses the newness, and road presence.
Dew white is the best color in manza, especially the rear look.IMO.
Rear look of the monarch red manza, is little bit spoiled, as the red color
color of the tail lamp and manza has got merged with each other.

Today , I saw a BS4 aura abs in grey color with grey beige interios.
It looks great with grey beige interiors.

Xover,

Tornado is talking about a Grey Manza. So it should be an old model before Feb 2011. You can identify them with Indigo badge bigger than Manza at the rear. Earlier interior colour scheme was 2 tone biege (actually it was grey).

In new Manza, Indigo badge is smaller than Manza badge at rear. Interior Colour scheme is Black and Biege (cream) or Burgundy (almost like dark purple) and Biege (cream) depending on the trim levels.

So is Manza not available in grey colour now?

@ xover, we can see pics posted by ilango, HR of their manzas, with greybeige interiors.
In december 2011, interiors were as follows,

Aqua, Aura- upper half black, lower half normal beige

Aura abs, elan- upper half burgundy (purple), lower half vanilla (whiter) beige.

Celebration- upper half normal beige, lower half black.

When I brought it to notice of the salesman, he said , TATA confuses us (dealership men) also sometimes,[lol] as my aura manza came with upper half black and lower half vanilla beige!
Manza with1) grey exterior 2) blue exterior 3) black exterior 4) satin gold are discontinued since 1 year.

Re: Tata Manza Detailed Test Drive Report

When I recently inquired about black colour availability in Manza, the SE of my dealership told me that I can get one after booking.Though I will need to wait atleast a month since this colour is only available on order. Can anyone confirm this?

So if in future I decide to buy Manza it may be BLACK colour for me.
