Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

Autosafari its 3 months since i got the tyres of car filled with nitrogen.

There is hardly any leak from the tyre.
Nitrogen was leaking in my car tyre because of the puncture which I noticed after six months only.

Thats the advantage of tubeless tyres.

Once in 4 months i ask them to remove the nitrogen and refill again.
But what's the benefit of removing and refilling the nitrogen?
Mukesh,

I am also curious to know the reason for removing and refilling nitrogen every 4 months.

So nitrogen nuts dented your pocket for approx Rs 300 to 400 over a period of 6 months[evil], you should have asked for refund.
I would have asked for refund if it was TASS. But in this case, its a local tyre shop and the only place for filling nitrogen in Daman.

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

I do follow when driving in rains.

As water may seep in through side walls.

So in order to ensure that no moisture enters car, in summer fill 1 PSI less than recommended, for optimal driving experience.

In rainy seasons i fill it with exact PSI.

In summer once in 6 months i get it filled.

If you want to know if they are really filling nitrogen, the air oozing out must be cold to feel.

Two days ago, SA from TASS called and informed that fuel pipe has arrived in stock.

Yesterday went to TASS and fitted the new fuel pipe. Its press fit type and fiiting was over in a few seconds.

Total work including paper work, waiting for SA and payment was over in 10 minutes.

Paid Rs 346 (including VAT)

Tata s are liked by many of us and me too because of the low cost spares and cars [angel]even though the fit and finish is not so good.

TASS is disliked by many and me too, reason being they compelled you to leave the car at TASS for full day and night for a work of 10 minutes.[frustration]

@ highway ranger , you were correct on the patience related comment.

Yes I do have patience.

As I told you earlier, look at the positive side also -

Fuel pipe was not in stock and they was expected only after 5 to 6 days.
They did a repair job to deliver the car next day.

Fuel pipe arrived in stock exactly on 5th day.

(Compare this to a 30 days waiting period at MASS for fuel pipe of new Alto)

Reading the posts here, I feel that TATA Service center in VAPI is far better than those in Pune, Kannur and many other places.

On second thought, they (service center at VAPI) are over smart too. When I was at the service center office, saw them giving feedback forms together with other papers for signature and getting customers' signature on the feedback form without even mentioning it is a feedback form.

I meant to say that they should have done the pipe repair work on the same day .

Pune NAW TASS is more efficient than VAPI ,:mad:as far as getting the signs on feedback form is concerned. The SA tried 3 times to get my signs. on it , at the time of preparation of the job card on three different occasions.

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

OT.

Once, my zen's wiper wash plastic line was bitten by rats. I took it to a MASS near my house and they just cut the area where the rat had bitten and fitted a sort of coupler that joins both the ends.

Not sure if some such work could have been done for your problem.

In my case, the damage was only around one inch in length and they cut off that portion and used the coupler to join the pipe as the length of the pipe was not a problem. There was no leak after that, though water has to be pumped with pressure. The coupler was also made of plastic.

You are right. They should have repaired the same day. Instead they waited for one day to get a new pipe from their Surat branch. Since they could not get it from Surat, repaired it next day.

I the case of VAPI service center, they just mark the space where the customer has to sign and give the feedback form along with other papers for signature.

People in this area only look at the amount to be paid and ask for explanation for the various charges. Otherwise they are not bothered about anything else and just sign where ever they are asked to. Later the feed back form could be filled by SA as per his own choice.
Thats why I said the personnel at VAPI service center are over smart.

In this case also damage was only on a portion of less than an inch - a hole of about 1/2 an inch dia. However in this case it is a fuel pipe and diesel is pumped at high pressure through this while starting.

Infact they did a similar job to deliver the car back to me next day. However, since its fuel pipe, they wanted to make sure that new pipe is fitted once stock arrived.

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

Engine has become so smooth and silent.

I have to honk while moving in 2nd gear through the narrow streets.
Normally I don't honk and don't like honking to pedestrians. But now a days this silent engine is making honking necessary.

Giving 60 seconds idling time for the engine while starting the car for the first time in morning. Also give some idling time when ever starting the engine after a gap of 1 or 2 hours. This really help in reducing the engine sound and provide a smooth ride as if its gliding.

Fully agreed, full marks to fiat and the iddling rule following car owner.

I have replaced my horn with skoda like horn. It's pleasant to ears as compared to stock one. Paaanp...... Paa..np. As pedestrians at the periphery of the pune do not move unless honkedin case of silent car.

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

loving your Manza autosafari. we have a manza at home too and i loved it too. found the engine to be really really punchy at times. i actually got a 20km empty stretch of road in patna and decided to go for it. i was cruising at 60km/h and then decided to to pedal to metal. boy the speedo kept climbing. when i was at 110 km/h, i upshifted tad early. so i was going through turbo lag, but soon the turbo came on and suddenly i felt a push in to the seat and the speedo went to an indicated 145 km/h. after that i decided to go back to sanity. haha

but seriously, i love this car. i really prefer it to dzire.(havent checked out the new one yet). my uncle's car is in dark blue which is similar to black and is the exact same variant as yours. i have 2-3 pics of it.
