Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

Low end torque is excellent in Manza.

I have to apply brakes to slow down the car (due to another vehicle infront or bikes/people crossing) even before touching the accelerator pedal.
During 1st month of driving I have also felt this lower-end torque effect. Since I was used to maruti Zen LPG convert before this and have not driven diesel cars before Manza, I felt something weird is happening or I often check if the road was sloping down. Then later learnt that thats common in diesel engines and Manza is much better.

Rightly said. There may be both positives and negatives for cars of all brands. I own a Manza and I am happy with the car's performance. It suits my driving style and meets all the my requirements. That is all that matters to me. If you are happy with your car, try not to compare it with your neighbor's car. Just enjoy your drives.
My thought also. Every car has its own pros and cons. I bought Manza for the rear space more than for driving pleasure. Now it suits both rear passengers comfort and also my driving pleasure. i cant ask for more. Recently made trip to airport. Tt has gobbled up 3 Airport size suitcases and some more space left 3 smaller laptop type bags in the boot. So luggage space also is good.

You are right Suhail.
Everytime when I am in a fuel station, I feel relaxed.
Same case here also. Am feeling happy. Though I donot do much city driving, I travel between banglore chennai once in a month I feel the refuelling lighter on my wallet.

Don't take some of those so called reviews seriously. Now it is a fact before your eyes and you are experiencing it every time you drive. So thats it.
Its not off topic. Lets discuss and conclude whether its an exception or Manza performance is real for all owners.
My manza also runs ahead of other cars most of the time, I have read that dzire /linea (diesel)are better city rides than manza due to its different gear ratios tuned for city drive. So wanted to know the truth.

I invite, rudolf, ilango ,gypsy and other diesel manza owners to comment here.I hope that I am not off topic here.
I don't know how I missed this thread. But now will not miss updates as I have subscribed. For me city driving is very limited only during weekends with family. I don't use for daily office use because the roads are narrow and bad with railway crossing waiting in between. In whatever experience I have with Manza in city driving I m aligned to whatever comments given by other Manza owners. As far as I m concerned, initially it was difficult for me to adjust with Manza due to its length in the city parking. But now m happy with some practice and judging the rear distance etc.

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

it means that passengers in the back can also enjoy the ride. its not only about the driving fun.
Very valid point.Manza is one of the very few cars in India that can make the rear occupants feel like king while plastering a huge smile on the driver's face.

I think Manza has the best suspension tuning for any Tata car.

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

i agree. i have driven old indicas and indigos and manza is just a class apart though i havent driven Dzire and fiesta classic. Logan is good too but only for comfort. Logan aint that fun to drive. but its engine is really really efficient and decently powered too. its quite peppy.

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

Unfortunately even though my car is more than a year old and has done 23000+ kms and I am yet to experience the much talked about comfort of the back seat.

I hope somebody will drive me around in my car for a change, so I can test the back seat ride quality.

:@ HR, my 120 kg,187cm tall father never preferred to seat at rear in my old indigo.(comfort issue), though indigo was also known for rear comfort in those days.
Now, he catches the rear seat of manza like people catch unreserved seats in Indian railway.

I am afraid that you are likely to hire a chauffeur after the rear seat ride.

The same case here also. Only i drive in my car and my brother is in US. So havent yet enjoyed the rear seat feeling. Have to give the car to a friend and try riding in back seat.

Yup thats true. My mother recently said that she felt more comfortable in my Manza than in my brothers 2 year old Corolla. She recently had a rear seat ride in Corolla in US(better roads than here). I dont know how much many others would accept this. I can also not comment because I also havenot travelled in Corolla till now

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

On one trip to Chennai for a colleague's wedding, there were 2 girls sitting in the back. When we returned, one of the girl commented that she always pukes while traveling long distance sitting in the back, both in her Verna and or hired Innova. So, she always sits in the front. She said she never even felt like puking this trip. We only knew about it while dropping back in Bangalore.

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

I have travelled on the back seat of my friend 's corolla in India, manza back seat ride is five times better than corolla espesially the inclination angle between backrest and seat.

My old indigo's backseat comfort was better than the fluidic verna , don't know about innova.

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

My collegue was always advising to fit an after market reverse sensor as he did in his Honda City.

Went to an interiors shop in Vapi for the sensor.
They showed several models but none of them was interesting.

They were pushing for rearview camera. After seeing a demo, finalised one in which the camera is small in dia but has a wider coverage.

screen will be attached to the inside rearview mirror. Rearview mirror will not be removed but will be used as a stand for this camera screen.

There is a USB port and a bluetooth option also.

Price of camera with screen - Rs 4600.
Additional for blue tooth option - Rs 700

Total - Rs 5300

can play videos if they are available in a pen drive.

Was able to pair Bluetooth with my mobile phone within a few seconds.

Its working fine.

Now I am able to see the back side clearly and even things like small metal pieces or stone also while reversing.

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

autosafari,
would like to see the images & tell us the brand of the camera.
Brand is CONVEX.

Its coming with 6 months warranty.

In my case the screen went off after one month of purchase. They replaced it immediately in warranty. No issues after that for next 2.5 months now.

I don't have any pictures. Shall take some and post it tomorrow.

@ autosafari, IRVM mounted screen of the reverse camera seen by me at pune shops were rendering the the day /night function of the stock IRVM useless , hence I went for dash mounted screen.
I think aqua's IRVM doesn't come with day/night feature, so good to have IRVM mounted screen.I hope pendrive movies can be seen by all passengers.

Screen is visible to all passengers.

Dash mounted screens were not looking attarctive to me. Further the curved futuristic dash of Manza do not allow a proper dash mounted screen. IRVM screen is bigger - 7'' LCD

any one from these on ebay?
Screem is looking similar. But it is written MP5 on it.

Camera is fixed on rear bumper.
