Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

Please, post pics erliest.

The curved dash doesn't allow anything to be placed on it, not even cellphone, papers, tissue box, atleast they should have provided slots for those things .It's a wastage of space .
Manza(top 3 varients) has 'blue 5 & me' but doesn't have a proper place for cellphone while charging.

You can place the mobile phone in the space provided next to the gear lever. Its very near the USB port and the charging point.

Infact it is better not to keep anything in the dash to avoid reflection in the front glass/wind shield.

I like that curved dash.

Pictures of camera and screen shall be posted by afternoon.

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

I have one request, can you check the speed of your car while driving in the 5th gear at a RPM of 2000?

We are getting conflicting ratios in Rudolf's thread.

I have already posted RPM levels at various speeds in Rudolf's thread.

In 5th gear at 2000 RPM, its slightly above 80 kmph.

@autosafari: I have a doubt. Will The LCD screen replace the rearview mirror. I mean the old rear-view mirror will be taken out and this LCD screen will serve as rear-view mirror cum LCD screen. Is my understanding right.
Does this camera have sensor also. Because I can see the red green light to indicate the proximity of the obstruction behind.

Yes the LED screen functions as a rear view mirror if reverse gear is not engaged.

Original rear view mirror is not taken out. It is still there behind the LED screen. Now it is serving as a stand for LED screen.

Yes the camera function as a proximity sensor also but only give indication in the screen. There is no beep sound.

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

That's a superb big( manza compatible) screen, I liked the sensor function. Mine is without distance sensors and I do miss the sensors sometimes, but now used to it.
@ rudolf , autosafari has earlier mentioned that stock IRVM stays in place, lcd screen is mounted over the IRVM. We can see it in the photographs.

@ autosafari, is it possible to swith off the audio signal if someone doesn't want it?

I hope the screen must be working as mirror , whenever off.

@autosafari: When the revrse is not engaged this screen will work as Rearview mirror i.e. the IRVM. Is this IRVM as effective as the stock one. Is there any difference between the two??

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

I think it will have a slight bluish tint. The third picture posted by autoafari is when the reverse gear is not engaged.

Effectiveness of this screen is almost equivalent to stock IRVM - we can say 98%

There is no audiosignal. Proximity is indicated with the green-red lines as visible in the pictures.

screen is working as a proper IRVM with objects seen at actual distance like the stock IRVM

I think it will have a slight bluish tint. The third picture posted by autoafari is when the reverse gear is not engaged.
Infact the blue tint appears when the screen gets activated (say, due to an incoming call since I am using the bluetooth option.

Need to switch of the screen manually by pressing that lower most button on the right side of the screen. Then that blue colour disppears and its a normal mirror.

Initially when I was driving in a highway after installing the screen, it was felt like vehicles (those big trucks) coming behind are all shaking while moving as if they are passing through an earth quake zone. Then those interior people did some trial and error to fix it properly (LED display screen is a bit heavy). Now don't feel that shaky except in some rough patches of road. My eyes got adjusted to that.

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

Its getting better day by day.

Noticed an excellent mileage of 20 km per litre in City driving with full time A/C on.

11.59 litres of diesel consumed for 233 km in 12 days

Within in the city for daily office commutation, shopping etc.

Yes Manza can give excellent mileage if you can drive at 2000rpm in 4th or 5th gear & don't change gears too much.
This winters I got 22kmpl average in 5 months (approx 9000kms) with mostly heater ON. Best I got was 25kmpl on 185 kms journey.

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

FE of 22 in highways is common.
But 20 km per litre in City driving with AC full time was surprising - frequent gear changes, running in 2nd gear for long distances, spending lot of time and fuel in parking and taking out the car from parking place (due to construction/modification activity in our office and temporary storage of Materials in parking yard)

Thats great FE you are getting [clap]. congrats !! . Last time tankful to tankful i got only 16 kmpl. That was 50 % city driving (100% AC on) + 50 % Highway driving(AC 0n 100%). I hope this increases after the oil changes after 1 year [:)].
