Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

Will the brake service include and parts change / topup of brake fluid ?

As they just remove the brake pads and clean them using a sand paper..

The service charges are quite reasonable that's really nice to know.

With 50% heat rejection what is the temp difference inside the cabin? My car is parked whole day facing south so it heats up max I am looking for Vkool & 3M films for windshield but they are quite expensive due to their heat rejection properties.

I use same garware icecool shield for my windshield. I m not able to say difference because i installed it in the first week of my purchase. After parking anyway the heat is more only because of no way of air going outside. I donot know how much difference vkool would provide compared to icecoolshield

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

Vkool is the leader in terms of heat rejection upto 90% heat rejection but the price for windshield film alone is 13500/-, windshield is the biggest source to heat in the car interiors. I keep open 1 inch window glass to let the heat escape but even then the interior is hot 4-5°C more than the ambient temp.

Yes Vkool is the costliest and most efficient in heat rejection. I havent come across any one having vcool so dont know abt the efficiency. In my old car i used to keep 1 inch gap in only one window to allow hot air escape. But how safe is it in open parking. Its open invitation for thieves. They would try to open car and steal. So in new car I have never done that.

Autosafari: I m afraid your sun film expenditure has been made a waste. As for others also including myself. Rs.7000 has been blown away. I spent 7K for windshield and windows glass. Now we need to tear those.

The Supreme Court on Friday banned the use of Sun films on glass, restricting visions beyond permissible limit as fixed under the Motor Vehicles Act, in vehicles.

A bench headed by Chief Justice S.H. Kapadia, however, made it clear that tinted glass can be used in vehicles of government officials for security purposes and asked the state governments to frame guidelines regarding this.
The Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989, say the glasses of windscreen and rear windows of vehicles should have a visual light transmission of 70 per cent and for side windows it should be at least 50 per cent.

The Hindu : News / National : Court directive on use of tinted glasses

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

It was a nice experience -

Its halfway and done 3000 km so far in this trip.

Manza is performing perfectly well.

It did not give us any trouble -
But I put the car into trouble.

Hit a stone in a highway drive and then had to run over a rough patch in a fairly high speed (full of boulder type stones - only the right side tyres were going through this patch).
There were loud sounds and car thought it is an accident. Fuel lines were cut off automatically. Steered the car to left side crossing 3 lines and after that it was not re starting.
Could not realise that the fuel lines are cut off. Thought it is some other issue.
One smart technician from TATA Motors found out the issue. (Even though after wasting some time by others including the tele executives)

This guy just pressed a switch below the driver seat.
Car started without any issue.

{Its a cut off which gets activated in case of an accident. Need to re instate by pressing the switch below the driver's seat.}

Then checked for any damages due to the multiple hits at the bottom. Luckily nothing happened.

Covered only 250 km when this issue happened and then continued the journey without any issues and completed 3000 km now.

That's good to know that you are safe, also your Manza.

But however check the condition of all the tyres once, as stone might have chipped off a portion.

Hope that nothing goes wrong.

Drive Safe.

Thanks Mukesh and type-r

Checked the tyres. No trace of any chip off.

Before the trip all tyres were filled with Nitrogen at 32.

Normally it used to be 30 in my car for a smoother ride.

With a pressure of 32 (assume it should be 32/33), its slightly bumpy as compared to a ride with 30. But its giving good performance in bad road and no road conditions which are becoming common in my local trips in Kerala.

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

Completed a 5000 km round trip.

It was a wonderful tour and really happy with Manza performance.

Whether in City traffic, highways, village roads or on ghat roads, it was a pleasant drive.

Now I can say with confidence that Manza is reliable.

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

Glad you enjoyed your trip and your drive.

I see that you still have the sunfilms on.

How is it in your city. Is the RTO running a campaign against it over there?
