Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

There is one problem in Manza which some times create an issue while driving.

There is a blind spot while turning and it is more prominent during right turns.

This could be due to a combination of thick A pillar and the plastic panel where OVRM is fixed.

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

I usually move my head to and fro and look while taking turns to avoid the blind spot. I think it is a issue in most cars. In Manza, the OVRM also is positioned in the line of sight.

@lxi, [:)], No issues, pal!

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

10000 km in Odo and 3rd Service done at Rathod Motors, Vapi

Reported at the gate at 9:30 as per appointment.

At the gate, one person was verifying the car number with a printed paper in his hand. Then he asked the security to open the gate.

After 10 minutes, SA came and I have told him a list of things to check.

1. A gap seen after closing the bonnet at rightside, just above headlight.
2. Steering wheel Horn pad was not working when pressed on some particular areas.
3. A slight sound from the suspension while negotiating some speed brakers (in speeds which are slightly more than it should be)
4. Digital Clock was not working.
5. One panel in dashboard was not fitted properly by the accessory shop guy while installing ICE.
6. Some cables were seen loose above the pedals. (Again happened after the ICE fitment.
6. Oil change required.
7. Wheel balancing and wheel alignment required.

He gave an approximate time of 5:30 PM for the delivery of car after service. There were lot of booking for that day and for the whole week.

Used some time to check the display cars, just hang around to see the working style inside the work shop, washing and bodyshop.

Car was ready for delivery after washing by 3:30 PM.

All the complaints attended except the clock which they said will do later since stock was not available.

Charges for the 3rd service:

Synthetic Oil, 3.2 Ltr - Rs 2587
CASTROL PROFESSIONAL EDGE 5W40
Oil Filter - Rs 347
Cotton waste - Rs 8
Wheel balancing - Rs 120
Wheel alignment - free service
3rd service - free service
Washing and vacuuming - free service

Sub total - Rs 3062
VAT, Service Tax and other taxes - Rs 519

Total - Rs 3581

Overall satisfaction level with the TASS was good except for the fact they did not even offer a Tea or Coffee during this 6 hours.

{Its another thing that I would not have taken it even if they offered [;)] since I don't drink tea or Coffee}

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

What about fuel and air filters. Did you change them also?
No they did not change fuel and air filters.

Dear Highway Ranger,

Need your guidance on this and other related things.

Eventhough I was having a driving licence taken way back after learning driving in a driving school, got interested in driving and started looking cars closely only after buying this Manza.

So far our cars were driven by drivers and we were just passive observers leaving everything to drivers and mechanics.

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

I had my fuel filter and air filter elements replaced last service.

But then my car had done 20000+ kms and fuel filter had to be changed as recommended. cost 1300 odd with sensor.

Though, Air filter elements has to be change only at 40000 kms, I went ahead and did it as I was driving under some dusty condition.

Strange, they charged me 3200 odd rs for changing oil (3.2 ltrs).

If you can post a soft copy of your bill, then I can take it up with Tata Motors.

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

Very true. Even Force One SUV is supposed to have a lot of space. But it is all unusable and a waste.

Manza's space has very usable and confortable design inside the cabin. The Boot is a different story where the Tata designers have goofed up.
There is one problem in Manza which some times create an issue while driving.

There is a blind spot while turning and it is more prominent during right turns.

This could be due to a combination of thick A pillar and the plastic panel where OVRM is fixed.
The boot exterior is inspired from' caddilac ' of eighties, while the boot space management inside is not at all inspired from it

The A pillar blind spot is big enough to conceal a scooter rider approaching from rhs, inspite of sideways head movements, courtesy, tata avoided a seperate small glass at the bottom of A pillar for cost cutting .

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

After 12000 km, the ride has become ultra smooth.

Sound from the engine is a slight diesel growl and that too not felt inside the cabin.
This FIAT engine is amazing.

Now a days, just gliding past the humps in 3rd gear (in my daily route to office there are so many) and its really a smooth gliding.

Enjoy driving Manza.

What are the mileage figures?

About 22 km/l in highway with AC on full time and full loading (4 heavy adults + luggage)

16 to 17 in my daily commute to office.

I drive with AC on always.
