Today morning they delivered the vehicle. It looks good now. But the central locking issue and reverse sensor issue might not fixed. They told that it was fixed. Lets wait for another occurrence. But the tata CRM and TASS people assuring that it'll not accure.
So the AC issue and the engine loss of power issue has been rectified? What was the reson given behind these issues?

They telling that, some metal tube between the coolant and radiator has issue. So the coolant supply was restricted. It raised the engine temperature. By default the A/c and engine turbo will disconnect themselves to avoid big issues.

I asked them about the indication failure in instrument cluster to report the engine temperature and malfunction. They telling that, i switched off or reduced the driving when the issue occurred. So the issue not reported in the cluster as it didn't crossed its desired limit.

I hope their point is right. But i'm not sure why the "Check-Engine" sensing level is not set to the same level of auto-cut-off temperature of engine and AC.

Wow this is a great feature, never knew that such a feature exists in Aria. This explains why your turbo didn't fail because of high engine temperature.Kudos to Tata's engineering team for designing such smart engine/turbo protection system.[clap]

On the other hand Tata needs to use better quality parts,a new car should not have these issues to be honest.[frustration]

Yep check engine light should come up and the temperature gauge/needle should go in the red zone if the engine temperature is high.

'Check engine' sensor should have atleast warned you.

BTW,was that metal tube suffering from some sort of blockage because of corrosion or was it suffering from some sort of leakage?

Do you check your coolant levels regularly, was there any dip while you were suffering all these issues?

The "Check Engine" warning and temperature gauge must report it in the starting stage. But i feel that the sensor will get active when the coolant flow went low.

I and the workshop people never seen the coolant dipping, not even a single drop. They claiming that the coolant was went off as vapor from that tube. The tube is defective. I dont know the cause of defect.

Dripping of coolant is highly unlikely in modern cars as they operate at very high pressures. they are right about vaporizing if so.
This has happened in Punto and they changed a hose clip which resolved it once and for ever.

Justin: What was the explanation given by TASC folks about steering vibrations in your Aria?
It was due to wheel balancing as per their view. I didn't tested at over 110kms inside my city :(

They also talked about some hose clips. it'll not happen again i think.

Some issues are back now:
--------------------------
1. The rattling in the back
2. Gear slipping not fixed.
3. There was a seatbelt holder pin for the back 2 rows. The right side both
pins not found.

Have you informed them about the issues? What was their response?
I informed the same thru mail to my dealership. They didn't respond me back. I even called them 2 times. They messaged me they were in a meeting. Nothing happened. I didn't informed the same to tata CRM yet. But i'm not willing to send the car back to workshop as my family marriage nearing.

@Justin

See I told you how things go with them. Hope now you have understood my posts on TATA reliability thread during those days. Its really annoying to sit silently with those kind of problems after spending some 16 Lakhs. If I was in your place, I would not get sleep at all

2. A hard plastic cover in the front driver seat was broken

Some new issues:
-----------------
1. I'm hearing some prominent water-flow like sound hearing while i drive my car parallel to a wall. It was not there before. ( I'm not sure from where it coming from )
2. Front AC is not effective now.
3. Rear AC now creating whistle like sound even in 1 speed.

They are taking you for a ride regarding the "coolant and that turbo disconnect" issue. The Turbo is run out of exhaust gases. AND ECU cannot disconnect the turbo. The latest TATA 2.2 ltrs engine is controlled by ECU. If some thing has gone wrong, and ECU detects it. For minor problems it will just switch on 'engine check' light in your dash. BUT if it detects a potentially harmful problems, it will reduce the engines performance (called "LIMP MODE") such that you just manage to keep the car moving and reach your destination/service center.

THerz something else that has happened (something silly) that they are responsible for and are trying to hide behind this issue...

LETS HOPE they have rectified their faults. AND next time when you visit the ASS, ask them to connect your car to the system (lap top) and show you the diagnosis. TO make sure that ECU has not recorded something else.

Do you feel my car has serious issues?
Can you show some light on the water-flow like sound?

A very happy new year to you.

Will suggest you to take your car to a competent service centre as the Aria System is very sophasticated. Its better you should check it in Bangalore with prior appointment.

Water Flow sound might be due to air tubulance under the car body but check out for resonatiing of some uneven sound by running your vehicle on Jack (controled environemnt).
