Re: Tata Aria Pleasure 4X4 a.k.a. The Chronicals of Saphira
Hi Guys,
Another weekly update time:
KMS on ODO: 9400 kms
FE: Around 12-14 kmpl (in delhi gurgaon traffic)
Best Acheived: 17.3kmpl on saturday evening
Niggles faced: Camber was out
So, as i was supposed to get the new door rubber bidding for the driver door (which was not good since the time of PDI) and Jack from TASS, i visited their showroom on last saturday and they took almost 4 hours to get the things right in the vehicle from JOB card opening to delivery of vehicle, here are the points which were mentioned inthe job card:
1.) Driver side door bidding
2. Jack
3. Squeak from driver seat
4. Camber out (as i can see unusaual wear from front tyres)
5. Clutch sound
Point no 1, 2, 4 were rectified fully but seat still give squeak and clutch sound is still there.
After that session i went to Reliance Autozone to meet my friend who has again (3rd) bout a new safari and that too a 4x4 EX model. SO there i have seen the alloys and get tempted and a
and
and installed them on the dragon (will upload pics soon).
They are of NEO Alloys and costs me around 18K.
I have swapp the tyres from front to rearm but i faced the following problems after installing the alloys:
1. Vehicle pulling to left
2. Bubbling at more than speed of 60-70 kmph
So next day i have taken my vehicle to service centre again to get the alignment and bubbling issuse rectified. The alignment issue is resolved and bubbling issue was resolved again at AUtozone after wheel balancing.
Now there are two issues in the car,
1. Bubbling is there but very minute, over the speeds of 80-90 kmph, more so prominent when brakes are applied (any comment on this is welcome)
2. Clutch sound issue
regarding
1. Mechanic (autozone) said that as tyres were wear out unevenly so let the tyres get settle down a bit i.e. let them run for 1000kms and than again they'll do the balancing again.
2. For clutch, i have TD another Arias on Service centres but none of them has this sound, so so so i asked them to change it on second service time and yes they do oblige this and said ok you'll come next time and we'll inspect the entire clutch and if required change it.
Will share the pics of dragon with new alloys soon, may be in next post as iam just resizing them..
Note: There was another Aria 4x2 pure in the service centre for its 3rd service at 31000kms, the vehcle was in a good condition, nothing was loose, and i did drive it (to check the clutch) also looked at the JOB CArd of the vehicle and it shows nothing apart from the regular service thing (only right side buld fuse). So its a reliable car, that even on 31k service it has nothing to complain.
