I can see some parts have started to rust or is it the dust?
Do consider the underbody rust protection before the onset of monsoons.

The car is still looking like a brand new one.
Its really good to hear that no issues have been faced till now.This itself is an asnwer to the Aria bashers on the forum.

As said by superbad:
You must go for under-body anti-rust coating now.

The pics related to underbody clicked in pre wash conditions and it had a lot of dust. Infact thats was the main reason why it was lifted up to check the underbody of the car and there was some strange sound was coming beneath gear leaver. On inspection it was a stone on the protection plate which was causing the sound.

Apart from the first Pic i.e. on disc brakes and parts near to disc are rusted and nothing can be done to protect that as it would lead to reduction in braking power.

Underbody coating is already applied in the car see pics of rear shocker which shows the black coating on the underbody. TML is not spraying the coating to areas on shocker, brakes to keep them in stock conditions.
It will be recheck again on 15K service before monsoon, as it is still 3 months from now.

Scar will be treated on coming saturday on TML ASS (free of cost) alongwith other two tiny dots on front bumper.

I have had my shares of minor niggles which i have posted on this thread but nothing major to complain so far and i am keeping my fingures crossed.

The niggles were
1.) Engine check fault (due to loose EGR pipe)
2.) Loose Battery terminal, caused 4 blown fuses.
3.) Clutch Khich Khich sound (clutch play)
4.) Seats were loose
5.) Brake Pedal Play
6.) Preventive replacement of PTL bolt and front Shockers (by TML)
7.) Headlights focussing
8.) Driver side rear door outer side rubber beading was out of shape while installing Sun Film, TML have replaced it under warranty
9.) Rear parking sensors were faulty from the time of delivery, replaced under warranty.

So these were the small problems or setting of things as per my choice (in some cases) faced by me in the small ownership of over 6000 kms (2 months).

Tornado I had a oppurtunity to test drive aria 2 times and it is simply amazing vehicle the nvh, the refinement of the dicor the sheer pleasure of driving is just amazing it really needs to sell more .whatever the bashers say about aria in my opinion its a gem of a car.

Yes it is a Gem of a Car, i love this car since Jan 2010, and waited for it but after seeing the pricing of the car i was like.

So i dropped my idea to even have a test drive of Aria.

I was waiting for New Safari but after seeing it in flesh in Auto Expo 2012 and later deal offered by TML on ARIA, i inclined towards Aria and raised my budget to 12.5 L for Aria from 10L of safari.

Till now iam pretty much satisfied with the car. Only issue so far is that iam unable to drive it for long on less traffic road to properly enjoy the meaty mid range. In city it is comfortable, even in Bumper to bumper traffic of Delhi Gurgaon Route (peak hours). I dont feel strained, even covering only 40kms in 2.45 hours.
Did a short trip to ajmer pushkar two weeks back alongwith 3 other friends and we all enjoyed the journey of over 900 kms in just 30 hours.
Ac was super, ride was comfortable, engine performance was superb, even at 145-150 kmph it had a reserve of abundant power to leap forward. Fuel efficency was good at around 13.5kmpl with dual Ac and moderate to heavy traffic and over 100 kms of delhi city driving.

Even many Aria BAshers (here and on other forum) havent driven the vehicle and on the basis of others comments they are making up their mind (this is not a personal comment). Live with this vehicle and day after day you'll fall in love with Aria. Its like arrange marriage where you'll fall in love after marriage only not before that.

As far as I reckon, Aria bashers have never criticized the NVH or the driving pleasure of the Aria. Only the reliability and the pathetic attitude of the A.S.S. has been reprimanded.

Hello to all,

Weekly Update:
Vehicle has done more than 6600 kms and giving a regular FE of around 13kmpl with AC. No issues after Second service (keeping my fingers crossed). Only diver side seat produce squeaking sound only at a certain setting. Rest is fine.

Here are few upgrades i want to do in my Aria, kindly provide your valuable suggestions ASAP:

Option 1:
HID conversion of Low Beam, as it already has projectors. Kindly suggest Kit and its tentative pricing and from where in Delhi i can procure and install this.

Option 2:
HID Conversion only of High Beam. Do i need projectors also for better lighting.

Option 3: HID Conversion of Low beam and Bulb Upgrade in High Beam. So kindly suggest wattage and Bulb name for High beam. In Delhi from where i can procure and install these.

Option 4:

As light quality is good, so i just need to upgrade to a better quality of Bulbs than the regular ones. SO plz suggest me wattage, company, price and from where i can install these.

Part B: Sound Deadning in All four doors, especially behind the speakers.
Part C: Good quality Speaker for Rear Door (fifth Door)

I never even considered you when I said tata bashers you know why ? Because whatever points you mentioned are facts . I remember you were just arguying about the sales part and the turbo lag part and you had solid points to prove that .
But there are few who have not even test driven the vehicle and talk just bad about the vehicle or change their opinions about the aria like a chameleon if you will read the thread on test drive section you will know what I mean .
So far you debate hard with some logic not just for the heck of it because you have some hatred for tata .
Tornado sorry went a little off topic on your thread. If the mileage you are getting is in city then it is quite amazing considering the size of vehicle.

Thanks Raja, yes iam also amazed with the FE figures. Iam constantly getting this FE in Delhi to Gurgaon Traffic (peak hours).

Brakes Update:

Yesterday from Delhi to Gurgaon i had to apply brakes as vehicle in front applied emegency brakes and behind that vehicle a biker also applied brakes in emergency, in response i had to apply the brakes as hard as possible, biker skid, vehicle next to him screech, my dragon just dives a bit at her nose and come to halt well before the bike. SO hats off to the great braking of Aria.
The vehicle was composed, no skidding, no jerk, my co passenger was asleep and he even didnt get up after all that drama.

So now i can say that iam happy with ABS+EBD and powerful brakes of the vehicle.

Hi guys its another week and many more miles added to the trouble free ownership of my Aria. I am facing three above mentioned issues on a contineous basis, i guess in the coming week i might go to service centre to get these rectified. Kindly help me getting the main reasons for Clutch and Seat Squeaking problems.

Rest is fine, i already mentioned the superb braking dynamics of the car in my previous post.

Well its so far a trouble free ownership (fingers crossed)...

A short trip on cards with office colleagues in the coming weekend to rishikesh for rafting.
Lets see whether it would be a driving holiday or driven holiday....

Driver seat squeak , may be they can tight the bolt.

For clutch squeak may be clutch switch needs a change, ask them to check that part.
