Hi buddy nice photoshots... your car is alwaz cool and white known for pride..

Buddy Tell your Service Advicer to check your vehicle with Bridgestone or MRF tyre and if the problem still is there means you can change the tyre because all goodyear tyres are facing problem in ARIA...

@tornado78

I dint get it - "not compatible", HOW?

Your car is 16 inch right. 16 inch, 160 pcd, 7j wheel should fit perfectly fine on your ARIA.

Please enlighten us.

@ Gurrala,

Wobbling is the vibration felt on the steering wheel at high speeds, usually due to faulty alignment/wheel balancing. It can also happen due to worn out steering linkages/suspension bushes/linkages/worn out bearings etc.

Re: Tata Aria Pleasure 4X4 a.k.a. The Chronicals of Saphira

Hi All,

Sorry for responding late as i was out of town on a business trip for two days.

1.) Wobbling: By this i mean slight vibrations over a speed of 80 KMPH in my car. As the speed increases the vibrations also increases.

2.) I have Bridgestone tyres 235/70/R16 with 6.5" rim width. I guess the neo wheels alloys are not 100% match for Tata Vehicles. therefore a slight vibrations over higher speeds. This wobble was not there when i was using steel rims OEM in my car even i tested my car over a speed of 140 kmph on those steel rims. But since the day of induction of Neo Alloy wheels the wobble is there. I have already changed one set of alloys, even the design was also changed, but the result is same.
I have also changed the front tyres with brand new bridgestone (one from spare tyre and another one was purchased). But wobble remain as it was, even after 10 rounds of balancing and 2 rounds of alignment.

Now, the ultimate solutions are
Change the alloys with the New Storme 16" alloy wheels or
Get back to those OEM steel rims.
Lets see what will happen.

Thanks for your detailed reply tornado !!

This is where I keep telling every body, apart from any manufacturer, please always maintain the stock design, manufacturer recommended things either it is tyre or something else as while designing the vehicle they do lot of R&D and come to a conclusion what is good and what is bad. And for the things like remote locking and power windows to I always tell to go with the genuine spares at the dealers which will not back fire or effect on the vehicle and also will never tamper the warranty issues[:)]

Since you have changed the alloys twice already, Now it is better to fit the OEM rims back and run for some time and see what is happening, then you can go for the new suitable alloys again

Re: Tata Aria Pleasure 4X4 a.k.a. The Chronicals of Saphira

Hi All,

Major Update on the Dragon:

It has covered the coveted 30000 kms mark some days back and i manage to click a picture of that event.

4th Free Service is done and the vehicle has no major issue.
Stereo is already changed under warranty due to the non working of FM.
LHS fog lamp was fused so was replaced and costed around Rs 500/-

Vehicle is performing fine and no issues faced, overall 4 out of 5 marks i can give to TML for this vehicle.

Alloys Issue: So finally decided to buy the new alloys from Tata Motors and the old alloys will be given back to Autozone people for reimbursement.

Guys help me in deciding the design of the alloys as which one looks better the OLD Dicor 10 spoke alloys or new Storme 5 sopke alloys.

MODS Done: Front and rear bull bars were installed 2 months back alongwith 2 Hella 550FF lights on front bull bar for highway and gig drivings.

Mods Planned: After 50000 kms, would like to add Race Dynamics Diesel tronics for better power and mileage. Door visiors and K&N air Filter.

@Tornado,

Old dicor alloys looks good, but go with the one exactly suits your Aria

Re: Tata Aria Pleasure 4X4 a.k.a. The Chronicals of Saphira

Thanks Visran, RK, Navnit and dharmesh

Will try to fit them before my Weekend trip to Narkanda for 3 days. Lets hope for the best. See the problem is all sorts of allyos are giving problem to storme and to aria, its not only my Aria's problem, many other arias are also facing the same problem. So now its better to stick to the OEM supplied alloys.
