The Tata X451 premium hatchback has been spotted testing on Indian roads for the very first time.

Tata Motors codenamed X451 has been spied testing on Indian roads for the first time. The X451 will also rival the Hyundai Elite i20 and Honda Jazz.
The Tata X451 will be based on Tata’s new AMP platform and will have a design similar to that of the Nexon. There is no strong information available on the specifications of the powertrain, however, we could speculate that Tata will plonk the new 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines that do duty in the Nexon.

This is a huge catch, the dimensions are quite big and proportionate, will surely make it to the Auto Expo 2018, as this car looks 90% complete.

Like the clam-shell high front end, happy days.

From what I can see Thos is squarely aimed at Swift. Any takers for this argument?.

I feel this is a 4 door variant of the c-cube. The c-cube was also based on AMP plus the headlight space, the windshield angle, the rear roof line looks so much like the C-Cube.

The Tata X451 is expected in 2019 and is likely to be built at the company’s Sanand factory in Gujarat which is gearing up to be the production hub for all cars built on the AMP.

Re: Tata Motors' Premium Hatchback Advanced Modular Platform (AMP)

So some features that can be identified
1. Rear door handle integrated in the rear quarter glass like that of KUV or chevy Beat.
2. top end has a rear wash wipe
3. the headlight will run very deep till the A pillar. the headligh assembly seem to be a big one. so it can have /should have dual barrel headlamps, and DRLS and turn indicators in one assembly.
5. Taillights seem to be on lines of Bolt and not like those of i20.
4. seems to be big car and has squat profile like the baleno.

So the designer Shoeb seems to be pretty accurate with the render for X451 (according to me)

Re: Tata X451 Micro SUV To Rival Maruti Suzuki Ignis

Tata Motors to introduce IMPACT Design 2.0 design language at Auto Expo 2018

In 2016, Tata Motors introduced its new IMPACT design language with the Tata Zica, which it launched as the Tata Tiago later that year. At Auto Expo 2018 next month, the company will introduce IMPACT Design 2.0 design language.

The new version of the IMPACT design philosophy will debut in a passenger vehicle, but Tata Motors has not revealed in which model. The company is working on several new models. One is a production Maruti Baleno rival that will arrive next year. Codenamed Tata X451, the new supermini will debut the brand’s new Advanced Modular Platform (AMP). Reports say that this small hatchback will replace the slow-selling Tata Bolt.

Among other future products, Tata Motors is also readying a new flagship SUV codenamed Tata Q501. Riding on the same platform as the Land Rover Discovery Sport, the new SUV will likely compete with the likes of Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson and Honda CR-V. Tata Motors will offer it in 5- and 7-seat seating layouts.

Along with the two entirely new models, Tata Motors is also readying the Tata Tiago Sport performance hatchback. The Tiago Sport will employ the Tata Nexon’s 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission. The turbocharged three-cylinder unit produces 110 PS at 5,000 rpm and 170 Nm of torque from 1,750-4,000 rpm. The Tata Tiago Sport is expected to debut at Auto Expo 2018.

Tata X451 to debut in concept form at Auto Expo 2018 – Report

Tata Motors is working on a new hatchback codenamed ‘Tata X451’. According to a report from Autocar India, the company will unveil this model in near-production form at Auto Expo 2018.

Tata Motors announced yesterday that it will introduce the IMPACT Design 2.0 design language in a passenger vehicle at Auto Expo 2018. The report indicates that the Tata X451 in close-to-production form is the passenger vehicle the company is referring to. IMPACT Design 2.0 will likely emerge as an evolution of the IMPACT design language using which the Tata Tiago, Tata Tigor, Tata Nexon and Tata Hexa were created. The Tata X451 will not only debut the new design language, but also the Advanced Modular Platform. The new versatile platform will form the basis for a slew of future cars from the brand.

The Tata X451 will likely measure just below four metres in length. It will use a more powerful version of the Tata Tiago’s 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine (80 PS/114 Nm). Those preferring a diesel engine will have the choice to go for the 1.05-litre Revotorq turbocharged diesel engine (70 PS/140 Nm), also from the Tata Tiago, but with Variable Geometry Turbo for higher power. The Tata Nexon’s 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged petrol engine (110 PS/170 Nm) will join the list of options later. There are rumours of the sub-4 metre SUV’s 1.5-litre diesel engine as well, which would produce 90 PS and 200 Nm of torque.

The Tata X451 should go on sale sometime in 2019. The Maruti Baleno rival’s production will take place in Sanand, Gujarat.

Looks like i20 with Indica resemblances in headlamps
Render looks promising but honestly they should lose the Indica look

I guess you're looking at gaddambhargavareddy's display pic ! Just kidding .

Front looks Tiago ish with larger lamps , which is not to my tastes , anyway waiting for the AutoExpo to get clear pictures . I don't think they will disappoint us after seeing the fresh cues on Tiago,Hexa,Tigor to Nexon :D !

Re: Tata X451 Micro SUV To Rival Maruti Suzuki Ignis

In the last few years, Tata has never disappointed me in terms of design. Yes, they do have a few signature design elements, which gives some of the cars, an Indica silhouette, however, the design has improved a lot and they have come miles ahead in comparison to their earlier cars.
The design does not suit everyone's taste, like the Nexon's rear design, but generally they have been doing a great job, be it the Tigor, Tiago, or the Hexa.
I feel that this design, is not very similar to the Indica , however, let's wait for a few days and see them in flesh in the AutoExpo, and then form an opinion with a more clear picture.
