The matter was resolved within minutes. Now we have to PDI the car tomorrow. Really a heartwarming experience that strengthens your faith in the TAI community. Thank you so much Akash bro. You are amazing
No thanks needed Satish, we as community work for each other's comfort and what I did was a simple gesture and probably the right thing which anyone would have done. Always Remember, Never Ever under any circumstance bow down to the unethical logic of the dealer/executives because dealers earn from customers only. Secondly, you have the right to be convinced fully before buying anything being it a 5 Lac Baleno or even a 5 Rs. Balloon.

Friends,

Both me and Satish had carried out the PDI of his Zeta Baleno today at the dealer's stockyard. The stockyard though was quite unconventional and it was more of car parking of sorts. Anyways, I told Satish to make a whole video of his car so that everything will be covered. He'll be taking the delivery by coming Monday. Finally he's relieved to check out the car prior to delivery. Once at the time of delivery, he'll do a check again. Mission PDI Stage 1 Accomplished. Some pics of his car that I took at the "stockyard"[:)]

Congratulations on the new purchase and indeed felt happy for the teamwork you both did.Bravo!

coming to my baleno purchase in brief..
I was not allowed for a stockyard pdi and was told that onlu upon full payment (mine through cash) i will be getting the car to see in flesh.I protested but was of no use as they said it was first cum first serve basis n the allotment procedure.i was only given an engine and a chassis number. As i grew impatient with every passing day and also because i was frustratred for the last four months with TATA while purchasing a vehicle from them,i could not hold on to anymore and thus made the payment in full without a pdi. I didnt take nexa useless basic accessory kit,3rd year warranty and B2B insurance cover from them.Only paid for the ex showroom, registration and maruti comprehensive insurance.By the way,I had told them that i need a red delta from which i was upgraded to red zeta by the RM,being shown colour unavailability as the excuse.N the day of delivery which i told them to make in bright sunny morning, they called me up late in the evening for the delivery.I went ahead and before taking the car back home i went for a quick pdi at the showroom backyard. There i saw a guy washing the dirt away from my vehicle.i checked the engine and chassis number that was sent to me by the RM.After checking them my friend asked for the mobile torch as it was dark late in the evening and to our surprise while checking the car we discovered scratches all over the bonnet and body of the car.I immediately raised a fuss over it.The manager and the RM had a talk to the owners of the showroom and they decided to send it to the maruti workshop which they could not tell in which one they are sending. They have given me 2 options.1.After coming back from the workshop if i am satisfied i can take it. 2.Wait for the next lot of balenos to come which would take time. Now i am in the middle of nowhere waiting for them to redeliver my car from the workshop. The tripmetre showed 68 kms during pdi.I hope they dont use it for test driving and abuse it badly. Also i did not find any vehicle inspection sticker n it.Only a Qr code sticker was found and i think i must have also seen some rust in the wheel discs.ill confirm this again when i get the car again delivered.

Simply avoid this vehicle and would be better if you wait for the next lot. It at the very beginning you've had such a experience, I'll say better take a car from new lot and once you're allocated the unit, tell them frankly that you want to have a PDI done at stockyard or you'll raise a concern with all the proofs in Maruti and if need be then in consumer forum as well. They can't play around like lunatics with someone's money. How I wish I would have been there.

November 2015. Actually the 20th and 21st letter is used for decoding (which you will find stamped on your car). I took the 10th and 11th letter instead (as it is 17 digit) and got this result. Someone crrect me if I am wrong.

Thank you. But how is it possible that a november 2015 make vehicle getting delivered in the same month?
I am not 100% sure about the manufacturing month and year, as in a 21 digit code, last 2 digits are used. But what you have provided is a 17 digit code (21 digit is on car body, under bonnet) and I took 10th and 11th in your case, which turns out to F (i.e. 2015) and L (i.e. 11th month).

Thanks to Akash, the PDI of white zeta petrol was completed today. They had got the car from the stockyard and it was parked in a nearby MCD Parking lot. Made approx 85% of the down payment and asked the bank to disburse the loan amount which should take 1-2 days. I will pay rest of the amount on the day of delivery which should be on or before Monday. Will upload some more pics of the car soon. [:)]

Beautiful car. Have sealent / teflon / acrylic paint, whatever they call it, done. It will shine like that all year and minor grazing can be simply be rubbed off

Thanks. Where should I get this coating thing done - at Maruti Workshop or some other place?

Don't do it from dealer. Try 3M. They are professionals. Here in Pune 3M charges are for paint sealant 4000 approximately and They have package for 8400 which includes paint sealant + underbody+engine

I think it will be best to do the rust-proofing at the dealer. In case of any rusting in the chassis in the future, I can sit on their heads.

For sealant, I spoke to 3m and they charge around 4K. However the life of the coating is 6-8 months. I know that the sealant needs to be reapplied after 6 months but 3M is expensive because they do it only once. The ones at the ASC do it (based on the experience on my Swift) again at 2nd service. So, doesn't it make better sense to do it at the dealer itself? It also becomes a single place to do everything at 2nd service

While talking to 3M, they suggested to not do carpet lamination. The reason for this as per them is, as the silencer heats, any moisture in the carpet condenses and fungal growth occurs. Anyone heard of this? I am asthmatic, so I don't want to vacuum the carpet every 2-3 weeks.

3M was also suggesting to go for silencer coating to prevent bubbling off the rust-proofing due to heat. I feel this is a marketing gimmick because if the rust-proofing falls of the silencer this way, it should also fall off the engine bay. Any suggestions
