I drove both the cvt (for myself) and the diesel MT (for a friend) yesterday. The diesel Baleno isint as happy as the petrol. If looking at diesel, i would suggest to go for the Jazz. Drove that last sunday & it was a great car in the SV spec

Elite i20 is also a good performer in diesel. It has everything one can think of - Good looks, good interior quality, good engine performance, good features (but lack of airbags and ABS in lower variants is bad), good space, good comfort, good A.S.S.. Only the price isn't good enough! [lol]

Buddies,

Saw this Orange Baleno at Mercedes Benz Showroom yesterday morning. Firstly, the car was very untidy with all dust etc. Secondly, if you notice, then from far one can't notice the difference in Baleno's and Dzire's/Swift's headlamp units. Also, this Orange color looks really different when parked under shade.

Hi Guys! I have booked Baleno Delta Petrol and have been promised delivery by the end of this month (Though I think they are just lying. Earlier they promised delivery by Diwali). I had booked the Ray Blue or Red colors but so far they have informed me twice that white color was available. I have seen some videos of while Baleno on net and they didn't look very premium to me. Also yesterday I watched a review or Baleno in red and it looked too bright.
I need some suggestions on the color. Which color do you think looks the best on Baleno - Ray Blue, Red, Silver, White or Grey? Thank you.

Saarji (as TSIVipul says [lol]) are you buying the car for us or yourself? Go with the colour YOU think looks the best on the Baleno. Ask from your family members about their preference as the colour matters to you and them.

[lol] Saarji I already mentioned my color preference. I am asking this because I haven't seen Baleno in flesh yet and the question is for those who have seen Baleno in any of these colors.

I would say Granite Grey and Silver are both good colors. In personal view, I find Granite Grey as elegant and Silver is the easiest to maintain and even Metallic Orange is a good one.[:)]

Thank you Akash. [:)] I think I will try for silver. Ray blue looks shiny and all in showroom lights but after some exposure to the real world I think it will look dull.

Hello all

I have booked Baleno Delta Diesel on 25th November with Greynite Grey colour. Nexa RM says they will deliver the car Last week of January.

At first I was looking for ray blue then Nexa RM told me 3 months waiting for this colour which will be extend due to heavy demand.
Then I prefer Greynite Grey which looks awesome after ray blue.

Hope for the best and finger crossed for early delivery.

Thanks

My RM has sent me the chassis and Engine no. But he is resisting PDI by me at yard. He said he was hearing such a thing for the first time. He was repeating the same sentence again and again 'sir mujhpe trust kijiye. I will give you a 'fresh' car without any problems. But it won't be possible for me to take you to yard for PDI.' He clearly said that PDI at yard would not be possible and he would allot the car to the next customer If I don't want it. What should I do?

Tell him that you are an informed customer and are paying for the car, and have the right to check it. And that comment seriously shows the seriousness of these people in selling the car. Is he doing a favour by selling the car? Shame on you NEXA for hiring such people in the "premium" dealership! Normal Maruti SAs are far better than these.

If this is the first time he is hearing about this, tell him to give it in writing that he will be responsible for alloting you another car if there is any problem found. Talk in a casual way and he will allow you. It is not much difficult for them. If not, approach the higher officials and you will see everything falling in place. These sales people are nothing when you have the permission from higher officials.

Not doing PDI is a primary cause of people getting lemon cars, which work fine for a week and then the tantrums start. Better safe than sorry.

Thank you. I will insist on PDI and will talk to Maruti customer care if the RMs refuses to oblige. I have had a horrible experience with this dealership (Bagga Link) and don't want to trust anything they say.

I am with you on the dealership experience. If anything, the regular Maruti sales department is more polite.
However, they are pressed for time. If you want personal attention, go to the dealership first thing in the morning on a weekday and the experience will be really different
They wont give you the chassis number till you make the down payment. Heck, they wont even tell you if your car is landed, on the trailer or still with Maruti. Best to insist for the VIN at down payment and ask for the same in writing

Who the h** he is to give you car? He is just a sales person. It is your hard earned money on bait if something goes wrong. Tell him allow PDI or else refund deposit amount. Go to another dealer or approach higher ups. During PDI if you find something wrong, refuse straight away delivery of the car. Once car goes for registration, very little is in your hand if you find something wrong.
