Changing alloys won't void warranty.Changing the tyre size will void warranty of suspension.
Till the car is in warranty, If due to aftermarket alloy any issue may arise then the OEM will not honor owner's request for repairs in warranty and the quality of aftermarket alloys are a cause of concern too and number of screw-holes in alloys matter as well. As you rightly said, changing size of Tyre certainly is not recommended at least in warranty period. Best would be to buy the alloys from NEXA only if they have as an accessory.

Firstly, everyone is thinking of alloys for the lower trims. If you are thinking of replacing the stock alloys with aftermarket ones just for looks, send me the stock alloys, I will buy them from you at the same price as you buy the new ones for. NEXA will not buy the stock ones back from you

As per Nexa Bangalore, they did say that they will buy back the stock alloys.
Not sure at what price .

Now that all the initial excitement has passed & deliveried have started, i want to ask just one question of new owners, particularly delta owners- are you really satisfied with the car & is it really worth it? I have a booking scheduled for tomorrow & need to decide now. I know waiting period is 6~8 weeks, so cars registered even in February are going to be 2015 manufacture, so no real point in waiting to replace my year old swift that is too cramped for my parents

This is from a Ownership review thread on TAI:
(Mods. Please correct me if I'm not allowed to quote from another thread)
This is my first post
Today received my Baleno white alpha petrol
Here are my observations

-Someone asked about empty button next to parking light button RM told It's sensor for keys
My observations
-Very smooth to drive in traffic
- good suspension
-Gear and steering wheel very smooth
-Not found any issues in small or congested road
- had couple of U turns . No issues as turning radius is good
- Lot of info and settings on MID
- Though I am short person 5'2 No issues for blind spot on A pillar, good seat height adjust
- uv cut glass looks good
- people are surely giving 2nd look at signal as there are no balenos on road in Pune yet( I have not seen any on road till today)
AC is powerful
But Nexa exp is not that good nothing premium

Will update more as I am Going for long drive tonight

ine query can I reduce or increase brightness of TFT in the dashboard.
Honestly, I did not check that brightness adjusting Nitin. However, there is an option of settings in it and from that you may be able to do so if option to adjust is there. Though Volume you may certainly adjust.

Hi Akash
Excellent review, as always. However, I'd suggest now to give us better pics. They would do better justice. Take it on an open road, spend 15 minutes thats all required.

Now, coming to the Baleno. I drove only the petrol version at akshardham nexa showroom. And I am actually impressed with the motor. Its super refined at idle, just you CANNOT make out if the engine is on or off by sitting inside the car. The motor is eager, but top end felt lethargic. And the exhaust has a crisp note, too. Chassis balance is surprisingly good, and try to drive aggressively, its easy to make its rear fishtail. Poise too is good.
But, whats not to my liking is its polarizing design, or the average interior quality nor its build. Its well engineered, and at the price, its a good all round petrol car for those who always wanted a swift but were put off by space.

As an individual, to many, the swift still makes sense but with this, the swift's sales will be affected, too. And if driven properly, this handles on par with the swift also.

Understood your honor[:)]. The thing was the day I went to TD, the NEXA dealership of my uncle was packed. I drove both of them and due to huge rush the RM was uneasy. Else as you may have seen, I click cars on roads only. At times circumstances play a bigger role than passion!

Hello friends,
Has anyone compared the Baleno petrol with the Ford Figo diesel?
I know it miight not be fair, but i feel these variants are the best each has to offer and would like to hear your thoughts on the same.
Performance wise, I feel Figo is better but in terms of space and features, Baleno is better. Has anyone done a detailed comparison?

Thanks,
CR

Thanks a lot Akash for the detailed review, it was indeed comprehensive. Figo diesel is the pick of the lot but I was looking for a comparison between Baleno petrol and the Figo diesel as I felt they are both the best in their respective classes. After test driving the Figo, I felt Baleno was lethargic. My wife liked the Baleno for its looks but I like Figos performance. Will need to take a few more TDs to decide but wanted fellow
TAIgers to share their views.
Thanks,

You mean you TD'ed Figo Diesel and Baleno petrol? And odd thing to do. Anyways, let me give you some thoughts. I've never driven Baleno Petrol, but driven the K series engine in lot other guise. But driven New Figo Diesel to an extent to give an opinion.

Figo Diesel is clear winner here. Handling check, Driveability check, Power check, and whatever. I enjoyed Driving older Figo and although newer one is not as much fun as older one, but it is not very far from it. It is the Best motor I've driven among Hatch/Compact Sedans. It is much better than 1.4L CRDi, 1.3L DDiS and 1.5L TDi. With 100PS available on tap coupled with lighter chassis, you are looking at tiny beast in hatch guise. If I am in market for diesel Hatch/CS today, my de-facto choice would be 1.5L TDCi!

Now coming to the petrol engine which is doing it's dutiy in Swift, it is not an slouch. Same engine plonked in a car with lighter body, the driveability and performance shouldn't be any different. In fact it should be much better. And we all know MSIL is known for best tuning of their limited engine menu!

Out of curiosity, why you wanna compare Diesel v Petrol car? What was in your mind which made you type that? If you like, you can answer, else ignore me!

In short I would say, for all the practicality take a Baleno. But if you wana listen your heart go for FIGO.
