@Vishwas

How about the tyre upsize ?? have you felt any need for it ??
Tyre upsize won't happen in the near future, will replace only when stock ones go bald, after that i'll work-out ways to fix 15 inch alloys and tyres.

Oh Vishwas we really didnt have time to meet ! Btw belated congrats for enjoy after 8k odo.
Any way atleast i saw your enjoy.
Sorry Raj, i was unable to call you and message you as my mobile balance was too low and shops around were closed.

I got your message spotting my enjoy, would be very nice if you'd come and met me, because we had an hard time finding good hotels in the night.

Also there were so many Enjoys in Pondicherry, guess people like it there more than Bangalore.

Re: SilverBoy: My Chevrolet Enjoy LS - Initial Ownership Review

MAJOR UPDATE:

Highlights:
- Ran 10200 kms till date.
- Painted Door handles, mirrors, and black strip at the rear (pics at the end of this post).
- Fixed rear seat headrest, switches for amp and camera, ash tray etc etc..
- small dent on top because a coconut [frustration] on the car.

Details::
Ran 10200 kms till date. - Running fine, enjoying every bit of driving, it's solely used my me, taking it to office for some days.

Brakes are causing a worry and it will be taken as a main priority during this service.

Cruises comfortably at 140 kmph easily and struggles to go beyond, wit this i am content with the speeds.

The seats are absolutely comfortable and long journeys now-a-days are less tiring, less back pain and fatigue.

Takes on the ghats with much ease, turbo whistle is nice to hear and diesel motor has that punch which i missed it in alto(really cannot compare, just for fun;).

- Painted Door handles, mirrors, and black strip at the rear

The finish has come well,tons of thanks to Varun for making this happen.

This was taken a week back, there's no remains of that uneven paint

Sorry for the image quality (My phone sucks in this dept.) good pics will be uploaded soon.

To Do List:

* Fix the brakes issue.
* Change engine oil - Planning to go for fully synthetic oil.
* Fix fog lamps, currently the front bumper misses the fog lamps, so adding it.
* Install suspension stiffeners for enhanced comfort for rear passengers as i see m any rear seat occupants getting massaged a lot.
* Fix hellas (like Varun who is going to fix it soon for his car) and spoilers to give a complete masculine look.

For now i'll fix fog lights as it is a major part, have to contact Rayal Sir for spoilers.

Any other suggestions are welcome.

10k Service update:

DSC_0008.jpg

The service was for 15,000 only, i wanted to change engine oil as the vehicle had run 10k kms so gave it for a change.

Car was serviced as Kropex Chevrolet Hosur road as suggested by Varun and thanks a ton to him for recommending this place, i was satisfied with the work done.

* Engine oil changed - Car is running smooth now and better than before, pick up has improved little bit.

* Replaced Front discs - Like mentioned earlier, the discs were replaced on warranty and the braking has become efficient now, thanks again to Varun for pressuring the SE to:agree:

* Installed fog lamps: The fog lamps cost 3600 bucks, it has now given a complete looks for the car and the light effect is good and i can easily spot the pot-holes, the light spreads to larger area, however more has to be ascertained while taking it for highways.

Overall the service back-up was good and i felt satisfied for the work done and the bill came to 6800, maybe i can rate 3 out of 5 stars for the dealer.

Pending works:

Damping - The car is damped well, but i feel damping is needed in A pillar and in the trunk.

Fixing hellas and Spoilers: First priority is spoiler, most probably it will be fixed in March, post that hellas in april.

Tyre Change: We went for a trip yesterday, my friend drove it and commented how bad was the handling, so he suggested me to upsize to wider tyres for better handling and comfortness. It won't happen any sooner (deficiency of Vitamin M)

Suspension Stiffeners: A thing to add to enhance the comfort levels.

Your car looks good! Whats the mileage you are getting these days? In any case beats Innova I am guessing!

The fog lamps are really bright, is the front flass of the fog lamp housing blurred or is it clear? Also what brand are these which Chevy installs as standard fittings I am assuming? Also is it possible to drive on just the foglamps if the headlamps fail due to some reason?

Thank you, mileage is around 14kmpl in cities (70% a/c), it beats Innova anyday only in the mileage dept.

These fog lamps have clear glass, it's the photo which makes think like that, will post more photos later. Mostly the fog lamps are from GM itself.

Not so helpful, as this fog lamps spreads wider and the throw is lesser, but manageable if headlights fail.

Hi, this is an original car design in China
This is a recent facelift which the Chinese version got, the difference being redesigned bumper and foglamps, and the company has changed the front grill. On the interiors, the dashboard design has been changed.

Re: SilverBoy: My Chevrolet Enjoy LS - Initial Ownership Review

Update after three long months of Enjoying!!

* Has completed 15800 kms till date.
* Car doesn't have any big issues.
* Going to complete 1 year coming 28th [:)]
* Service due.
* Varun noticed the suspension noise at front right side, got to check it.

Took the car for highway drives, my dad drove 95% of whole trip with full time A/C on, the mileage gave a bad figure of 12kmpl.

Air conditioner chills the rear seat passengers very much where they order us to switch it off and im content regarding that :P

Feeling the need to change the tyres to broader ones and alloys, but lack is Vitamin M makes me turn back.

Not getting time to wash the car even! had been two months since i washed the car but finally Varun who wasn't able to consume the looks washed my car himself, Sorry Varun!

Insurance is due and i have to pay 24,000 INR.

Planning to gift spoilers only as of now.

The accessory guy has bugged up with the ICE wiring which are prone to short circuits, now i have to catch Varun to do the insulation and casings, long impending task.

Did not take the car to service center yet despite the recalls, nor the service center guys called me informing about the recall.

Nice pic's Vishwas..

I could not digest the looks of the car hence washed it [lol].
Mileage 12 ? Isn't it very less ? Last time after I got the trial map I got 16 kmpl on highway before that the worst mileage I got was 9 kmpl in City. [frustration]
Get the suspension issue sorted out in warranty.
My car has just crossed 15k.
