Re: SilverBoy: My Chevrolet Enjoy LS - Initial Ownership Review

@Vishwas: I am fervently chanting the name of Lord Rubbing Compound as I read your above post. Hope the lord would do the vanishing trick on your Enjoy.
Sorry for late reply, the scratch is visible much (where i thought it was too serious) only the front bumper has some visible scratches. [:)]

Can you give me the information about seat cover for car ? Ready made one or Stitched ? What is the cost ?
The seat covers were stitched by one of the accessory guy, it is perfect and cost me INR 8000/- very comfortable too.

So far i am loving my car day after day, there are some issues like poor braking and some knick knack issues but on the fun side The car's giving me good back-up, super comfortable in the driver's seat, the turbo-whistle mmm.

Planning for a weekend trip, let's see.

The car ran 5200 kms as of today, there are some annoying rattling noise heard from door panels and the a/c vents emits foul smell which i checked it this evening. Have to check it.
Hi Vishwas the fouls smell from AC is due to the dust and bacteria that accumulates throughout the journey.

So when you use the AC for the entire journey in Recirculation mode, the AC starts emanating foul smell.

So tip for this is, in rains turn off Recirculation mode, as there will be no dust from outside.

And to eliminate that foul smell, turn the blower knob to windshield mode, and the cooling mode to heat mode.
Then air mode in maximum speed towards windshield for a cool 2-3 mins with engine running removes those bacteria and foul smell.

You are good to go with foul smell.

Btw which route you followed to Goa?

Nice idea, will do this often, is re-circulation mode recommended when running the car without rains?

Btw which route you followed to Goa?
While going we went through this route:

Bangalore - Tumkur - Chitradurga - Shimoga - Jog falls(Visit) - Honnavara - Gokarna(Visit) - Karwar - South Goa and Panaji. took some 700 odd kms.

While returning, we took this route:

Panaji - South Goa - Karwar - Yana - Sirsi - Haveri - Davangere - Chitradurga - Tumkur - Bangalore. Took 674 kms exactly, and the road between Sirsi and Haveri is worst.

Planning for one eh?

Wow seems many Bangalore guys going in for Enjoy!
Congratulations Vishwas!
Happy motoring. [:)]

I booked a silver enjoy LTZ yesterday and looking forward to get it delivered before this Friday
Well congrats! So what's the OTR price in your place? Any offers or freebies? Saw your post in Varun's thread, they increased 10k straight away?

Request you to start an ownership review with lots of photos as your's is the first top-end model in our forum. [:)]

Not using the car much except for weekends, the ODO still reads 5837 kms, there is a distrubance when i connect bluetooth to the ICE, which means when i put the FM mode and switch on the music from my mobile, there is too much of disturbance and the effects has come down, need a solution for this.

Re: SilverBoy: My Chevrolet Enjoy LS - Initial Ownership Review

Been long time since i updated my thread, here are some updates:

The Odo now reads 8000 odd kms, finished second (so-called) free service where those people changed transmission or gearbox(whatever) oil where now the gear feels good to use than before but there is a long play, Also i remember they changed the suspension or some sort of oil, nevertheless to mention the suspension levels are not upto my mark.

The service personnel insisted on applying teflon and under-body coating and i chose only for under-body coating which cost 3000 Rs.

The LCD wasn't working, so i went to that accessory guy to get it fixed, that person tried something only to see the smoke coming out of the circuit, so i have given him for a new piece or to exchange for a bigger screen.

Took my car to Pondicherry last week, the roads where awesome with no pot-holes anywhere , achieved speed till 150 kmph, boy-o-boy it's pretty stable! liked the build quality.

A/C was used in the whole trip and it works like a charm, especially the rear vents really does a good job for the occupants, can't think of my next car without the rear a/c vents.

Drivability is good under 120kmph post that taking slight turns should be handled carefully.

The seats offer a lots of comfort and after a long trip no-one was tired and i saw none complaining about the back pain which i usually get in smaller cars.
