Won't this bag scratch the roof ?
Looks like it has been widely used in US. You are right in Indian conditions with tons of dust around scratches are unavoidable.
@bhvm - I liked your roof rack - where did you get it? When I searched for that make I did not find any links :(

HI Bhvm, Any damage through 55W cannot be measured right now. but yeah there are some chances of damage after 5-6 years of usage.

I'm not able to find my old threads where I've put photos regarding uv damage. it feels as if all the chrome is bleaches. no blackish. but just non reflective.

I think the thread was'all about hid' or hid vs led or something..

man stay away from that bag it's useless in India. I got the roof rack from Indore at 6.5k.

This kind of change in the reflector even I am able to see in my FZ. I have been using a 35W HID in it since the past 4 years.
but somehow there is not much difference in the beam throw, and I also think that it can be cleaned although removing the glass from the reflector is a pain.

uv bleaching boils off the pigment in chrome. definately you can't 'wipe' it off. actually your chrome is already wiped off. notice how harsh sunlight tends to yellow /fade plastics. that's not heat. that's uv!

you might not be able to see difference as hid is already massively overpowered.

however, I'd suggest install hids in low beam and enjoy 3-5 years then simply replace headlights!

I'll tell you the bad ones...
I tried the one that sticks to surface by vacuum knob. stay away. as the vacuum fails in jarring potholes, causing phone to fall off.

Re: "SARAH" - Detailed XUV 5OO Ownership Experience

Guys in search of a new SUV ,yesterday I drove my friend's XUV w6.
I noticed a strange thing during night driving, lights are in low beam I think front projectors and led strip was on.I saw some multi colour pattern on front cars formed due to XUV's light.colours were blue, green and orange and these colours were visible at the periphery of the region covered by front lights.
On open roads I didn't notice such patterns they were visible only in traffic.
Is it normal with XUV lights or something is wrong?

this is an aesthetic part of projectors (low beams ) that many people enjoy. you should be seeing a rainbow like on the cutoffs. it's normal.
