Even the Samsung mobile charger seemed big but thanks for sharing. If I don't find a better one will go for it. Untli then I need to operate in manual mode & get an extra battery.

Yes, I haven't yet strike the right elevation but just took a test shoot. One thing is annoying is the glare in windshield. May be I need to roll some kind of mat on the infotainment flank especially while driving under sun light.

try using a matte finish, carbon fibre like sticker. it's very cheap and shouldn't look out of place.

@bhvm, how about anti slip mat? I remember seeing one of my friends car, i guess it was a thin rubber mat (I did not pay much attention that time). I will also consider the sticker option.

try it. if it's comfortable and doesn't jarr off in bad roads, all is well.

I would suggest to use something like THIS .

So you can connect 2 cables at same time, 1 to charge mobile and other for your camera.

@shreeni0403,

I think Camera needs more Amps than iPhone, might take a longer time to charge. Definitely micro USB cable will get a better look over the other.

Guys,I am seeing a few bead shaped things arising on my XUV's paint surface.one on front fender, one on left front door and a few more.though they are very small in size and visible only after close examination.
As per my best knowledge they were not present initially and came later.
As per ASS they may be due to some small dust particles in outer clear coat and must be there from starting.
They say it's ok and I need not to worry.should I believe these guys or take the matter to some higher level.

it could be bird droppings or some road dust that's affecting the Paint. did you try car wax?

Re: "SARAH" - Detailed XUV 5OO Ownership Experience

Sarah is back from 1k (1072 km) weekend break to Kodai. Knowing the fact, that was raining in most parts of southern states (NE monsoons) and not much encouraging weather predictions, we moved forward with our plans. The beast did an amazing job throughout the trip except at higher (speeds >120 kmph) notable steering vibrations.

My dash cam has captured couple legs on the ghat but some how my understanding of car mode did not go right. So it did not captured most parts of the trip where I expected it to do the job. When I paired with my iPhone I was able to record but still have to get used to operating camera in manual mode. In fact, there are lot of other things have taken my attention so I was not able to spend too much on this tiny gadget to get my hands around. I drove sarah in Kodai but hired a guy to guide us around.

While going uphill there were showers but once we landed in Kodai, weather cooperated in a great way. It was so nice to get close to the nature, mist, fog, drizzles, Sun shine, list goes on. Eyes were filled with the coolest greenery of mother nature hope the experience with get us charged for up coming days.

Somewhere there is a nail got into one of the tyros, just replaced the one with Stepney. Will get it fixed in Chennai. To my surprise the manual gauge showed 45 psi in all the tyres and the funda the guy (helped replacing the tyre) gave me for the additional pressure is, it gets added with tyre rotation. Not sure, is the case

Here are the pictures, Shower time for Sarah [:)]
