Re: Ownership Review: Polo 1.2 TDI Comfortline (Diesel)

Hi All,

All of a sudden my right headlight stopped working at low beam, tried changing the bulb but did not help. Right now at VW workshop waiting for it to get repaired.

Anyone else faced similar issues?

Congrats for her first birthday bro, and i wish you many many happy mile munching with your beauty.
Good Luck
Thanks a ton for your wishes.

Are thousand bucks inclusive of registration plates? I’d like to get HSRP fitted under this scheme. You got them from which RTO?

Drive Safe,
350Z
Yes 1000 bucks is all inclusive cost, my car registration is from Janakpuri RTO (District center) and their authorized vendor shop is near Dwarka Mor, opposite NSIT college gate. If you require address then will PM you the same after reaching home.

15K mark is also a good mileage for first year :)

I don't think R320 is available in open market, you can give your contact number to VW dealers in your area if any customer by chance upgrade their system you can get it at a good price.
I checked with an after market accessory guy here. He says many Polo/Vento owners come to him to get Touch screen HU fitted in their cars. If in case he gets a RCD320 system removed from any new Polo/Vento, he will let me know. I've dropped down my number with him.

That's a good idea, i hope you get the new system soon. Do update us once you got it.

Re: Ownership Review: Polo 1.2 TDI Comfortline (Diesel)

Polo updates

My Polo completed 29400KM, it got small dent below front door base while taking U turn from service lane. Missed the broken kerb stone lying unattended on the road.

Yesterday gave my car for dent repair and second service to VW Moti nagar will pick my baby on 1st or 2nd April'13. They quoted 2.5K for dent repair so opted to pay from my own pocket instead of insurance claim. Second service will cost me something 10-15K i guess they will give me the estimate after it's body shop work.

you call that a small dent? [cry]
And how are they gonna repair it with 2.5k? That's a part of the chassis right. I assume that will cost high. Any info? :stupid:

Wow even i am surprised ToughGuy. 2.5k for that kind of repair sounds very cheap as going by the VW standards of overcharging almost everything. Good luck with your second service. Do post some pics after you get your car after the repair.

Just checked my repair order, here they mentioned the estimated cost of 2.5K [:D]: IMO overcharging and poor after sales service are over hyped on internet forums.

Looking at the damage, repair estimate is quite justified. The metal beam is quite thick to work upon, and I think there are no cracks on it which would make the work little easier.

That's sad to see your ride in this condition and yeah guys it 2.5 grand seems pretty reasonable amount for the dent repair of at-least this kind.

That's good to know ToughGuy. 2.5k is a very justifiable amount for that repair. I guess even a paint touch-up would be required for that,so considering that its a very reasonable price which the service guys have quoted.
Asking for my knowledge, what all parts are to be changed in the 2nd service? And how are your Apollo accelere tyres doing after 30k kms?
