Thanks for those maintenance schedule list ToughGuy. That would really help the existing owners as in what to get done in the service and ask the service guys not to carry out unnecessary activities which just shoot up the bill for nothing. 7k for first service of Tdi is pretty reasonable. I'm sure i'll carry a hard copy of this when i go for my Polo's first service.[:)] But i guess they haven't included the labour charges in these.

Thanks GM88, bumper was replaced as old one got few cracks because of the impact caused due to the collision.

I am very happy with my Insurance provider, they obliged all my claims without any fuss kudos to them and VW service center for facilitating the same!
Which insurance you have for your CAR ?

Looking pretty neat after the cleaning. I also need the tyre polish. This one seems to be good. Did you get them online or you bought it from the market?

Thanks, i purchased them from market. Tyre polish is in spray foam form which turned liquid in couple of seconds after the spray results are good. I got the tyre Polish for 100bucks and it can easily last 6 months if used weekly.

Wow! That's like totally worth it. Will get hold of one soon, as and when i go to the market next. Do you get your Polo's engine bay also cleaned? I haven't opened the bonnet of my car in like ages now.

I don't believe you!! 650 bucks for those four items would be daylight robbery (just kidding)!
What is that rightmost yellow thing?
Once I got a tyre foam, which was the most useless thing I ever used. It didn't last for even two time washes.

First of all my car cleaner wash the car using car shampoo and water and after it dried up in 1 hrs he Applies the wax on dry surface of the car with the help of damp foam in clockwise motion, then he leave the car for another .5 to 1 hr to dry up due to winter then wipe it of with dry cloth. All this require some amount of sunlight but not hot surface. One can also use clay bar to remove the dust for improve results.

Polo Updates

Front number plate of my Polo got few scratches so i planned to change it but after seeing the high security number plates on other cars i thought why not go for the same as sooner or later all the vehicles will have to shift to it.

So i visited Janakpuri RTO to inquire about this but they have no clue about the same, somehow got the contact details of my area's authorized vendor and paid a visit to them last week, according to them the process for old vehicles are still to take off but still they are giving the plates via emergency quota

Got the high security number plates on my Explorer-1 yesterday below are the pics:

In my opinion, the high security number plates look better than any other style that lies with accessories shops.

What is this emergency quota now? I can't imagine what 'bhasad' would be seen at RTO offices when it becomes mandatory soon.

Buddy, is the change of registration plates to high security ones, free or is charged? If yes, how much did you pay for them and what all costs are involved?

High security number plates are charged 250 Rs as far as I know. I am still not sure about the emergency quota though.
