Re: Ownership Review: Polo 1.2 TDI Comfortline (Diesel)

Guys, anyone opted for the Extended Warranty? Is it possible to buy it now? Should I go for it (not planning any modifications to the vehicle)? What's the cost of it?
Sorry for asking too many questions in one go

Yep got the extended warranty at the time of purchase of the car, you can purchase it on later too, will cost around 7-8K. I suggest everyone to purchase the same at the time of purchase of the car for peace of mind.

@ToughGuy - You mean to say that we have to pay 7-8k for peace of mind? [thinking]
Haven't got it till now & my dad is less interested in it too.
Well, another question, is it possible to get the flip key which the Highline version has?

VW dealers are not giving flip key as of now, no idea about aftermarket solution.

@Poloman: Today i saw your post in a classified section of other automotive forum, so you are selling your Polo petrol and this car was gifted to you by your inlaws and you already had the sister car called vento as mentioned in your ad, sad news for all of us.

So when you are posting the ownership review of Vento is that diesel or Petrol?

No, there is no left side pulling in my car too (Polo petrol highline)

This issue was faced by a few buyers in the beginning. As far as I know, no recent buyers have faced the same issue now. A few people said that this was a safety feature in which the car tends to pull itself on left of the road in case the driver has lost focus or has slept while driving. So that the car no more remains on high speed lane and gradually settles at left edge of road. Though I think it is debatable. Some also say that it was nothing but a manufacturing defect in VW cars in earlier batches.

Do you own a Polo or thinking about owning one?

That was a way to put the advertisement to find the current value of my vehicle.

Vehicle update :
After Gearbox mount and Seat frame replacement
Engine mount also replaced
Find the picture attached of the faulty part

Now they are replaced with the Hydraulic engine mounts which are more advanced , btw I dont feel any difference in harshness..

VW Moti Nagar Paint Booth

14042012250.jpg

Nothing different from the regular maruti's and hyundai's
Also this is the second time I heard someone shouting badly at them due their poor paint jobs

After all the above problems I have faced should I sale my vehicle ??

That was a way to put the advertisement to find the current value of my vehicle.... BTW I don't appreciate the fact that you are disclosing my identity repeatedly .
I am sorry for that, any specific reason to open two accounts here?
After i opened with my name I realized not to disclose the identity so I created another one
Toughguy- there is no point in discussing what why where does a user use his identity for which purpose. Polomon is entitled to do whatever he wants over this forum and over internet. Nothing valuable can be derived from such inquisitiveness of yours.

If anything, please help poloman to resolve his problem that he is facing in polo. And we being owners of polo have to help him out.

Coming back to Poloman's concerns-

Poloman, I am totally with you if you think you should sell your car. No point keeping it halfheartedly.

But, have you had a discussion with your dealer about these issues on your polo? What was the reaction? Have you seen other buyers who are facing similar issues?
If you don't get a good response from dealer, I suggest you to speak to a mechanic in a friendly manner to know whether there are same issues with polo that sit in their garage.

Rightnow you are correct but opening two accounts raises some doubt in my mind about poloman, i also doubt his claims which seems quite far away from reality to me as my experience with Polo and VW-West service station is sea apart.

I will surely not go with hearsay and will post pics my car after paint job/repair for everyone to judge.
