+1, that's a good idea we should start "Polo Owner's Club" on TAI.
So.. where should we start? or else you start & I will be active on the thread [;)].

@Rightnow and Poloman, when you guys are starting your ownership review thread don't ignore our request please. If already posted review then send us the links.
yeah. waiting for those!

@FJ CRUZER - you will need to rotate your head . Or else poloman will need to re-upload it after rotating!

Re: Ownership Review: Polo 1.2 TDI Comfortline (Diesel)

I would be coming up with my ownership thread this weekend for sure.

About the POLO owner's club, I think that is an excellent idea considering ample number of POLOs on forum and also to discuss certain issues related to the machine.

and this one's on behalf of Poloman.

Nice to see such a good FE. This must be a highway run as major part. I am not getting more than 16 under 30% highway+ 70% city conditions.

Did exactly that to read the picture and thought I will get a stiff neck if I continue to look at it for some time.

Just wanted to protect others from the same feeling, therefore requested for rotating the picture.

That's some good news, will be waiting for the same.

I seriously doubt Polo petrol gave so much fuel average, did you or Poloman calculated fuel efficiency based on tankful to tankful method?

If this holds true then i can say Germans build most fuel efficient cars, of course after Maruti Suzuki [lol]

@Poloman - that's an excellent FE for a petrol engine. Even I don't get those unless I'm on the highways!

Good. Waiting for it!

Yup. It can help us a lot!

Yeah, I din't mean to offend you in anyway [:)].
I guess poloman needs to sort it out for better view!

Yeah, we will need to ask to the mods about this!

When compared to swift which is of the same segment. This is way too good FE. Swift drinks petrol like it has been fasting for 1 week [lol].
So I believe, MS stands back at FE unless for a few cars!

Re: Ownership Review: Polo 1.2 TDI Comfortline (Diesel)

yes its a very nice idea to start a POLO owners club . Still eagerly waiting to get hands on my Polo. Its already been a roller coaster ride starting from choosing the colour to the variant. Good part is it was a Polo throughout. Not even considered any other car(even the face-lifted i20) because of the madness called love i'm in with the Polo.[:D]

Re: Ownership Review: Polo 1.2 TDI Comfortline (Diesel)

This is the on board computer showing 17.6 kmpl and its all in city.
But my daily running is just 16 kms and the route is all clear without any traffic jams
gear/speed ratio I maintain
1 gear - 0 to 10
2 gear -10 to 20
3 gear - 20 to 40
4 gear - 40 to 50
5 gear - after 50
Never use clutch while braking
when on downhill from flyovers, I shift the gear to neutral [lol]
I don't recommend anyone driving like this though, polo will never like this

[:D] But is it a good thing to do. I heard someone saying that its not good for the vehicle or is it because you have chances of losing the control?

I'm bored of reading your gear ratios [;)].
In petrol, it would be adjustable. It diesel, it would be super boring! [lol]

Its your misconception ,, its not something you need to be worried of whether its good for vehicle
Yes you may loose control but I am used to it, i know how to get maximum when required

@poloman - so how do you feel the petrol polo? I always preferred a petrol vehicle. [:)]

One of my bro's friend owns a petrol vento & he always revs upto 4-5k mark. I wonder what mileage he is getting!

Re: Ownership Review: Polo 1.2 TDI Comfortline (Diesel)

Reached Jaipur yesterday, roads are in very good condition but full of diversions due to ongoing road widening and flyover construction work. My Polo diesel is loving the highways, drive was quite spirited covered the distance from Delhi in 4.5 Hrs which includes one break of half n hour.

Perfect hatchback for highways, extremely fuel efficient. My polo felt extremely confident on high speeds.

Try to get rid of this dangerous habit always use lower gears to enable engine braking on downhill, rest you seems quite good in handling your baby.

Re: Ownership Review: Polo 1.2 TDI Comfortline (Diesel)

You both seems quite unlucky, in future try to avoid purchasing 6-7 months old car for mere discounts irrespective of its storage, why should one take chances with hard earned money that too after knowing everything.
I bought my highline petrol 1.2 on the 1st of Mar and there was substantial engine noise felt even with the windows rolled up. VW asked to get the engine mounting changed from the rubber to Hydraulic. However I cud notice a different noise from the bonnet which happened only on bumpy roads. VW said that the gearbox mount needs to be changed. Ofcourse they did free of cost however..it disturbs me to have original parts changed when Ive not even cross 1.5k km...Also this was a Nov 2011 stock that I bought..Do you think the old stock might have been a malfunctioned one..plz suggest
