Re: Ownership Review: Polo 1.2 TDI Comfortline (Diesel)

Thanks ToughGuy and Rightnow. I'm increasingly getting inclined towards black or silver now. I think red won't look particularly good if I put in some after market alloys which are high on my shopping list. Also I want to get the fog lamps fitted from after market. I know its not advisable as it may void the warranty but then I'm ready to take my chances.
I have to confirm my SE the color by tomorrow as I want the delivery on 31st March. Right now four shades(Black, silver, red and white) are running in my head. My parents want me to go for a Red Polo. God WHY does Polo look stunning in each and every color. Got a real difficult decision to make today.
Go for White. Trust me after red white polo looks stunning. I think you should drop the ideas for fog lamp.

I guess new alloys would void warranty, but fog lamps won't. Anyways if you are ready to take chances, go for them. There is always a way out.

For color: Black- high maintenance, Silver- Won't go with your age and silver also starts to appear old soon. White- if not red then white is next best. Why haven't you considered pepper grey- looks stunning too.

Re: Ownership Review: Polo 1.2 TDI Comfortline (Diesel)

Well you are absolutely right ToughGuy. Polo in white surely looks great. But our garage right now has one white fiesta & a silver fluidic verna. So was thinking of adding a new flavour to it by either red or black.
Rightnow,Thanks for your comments. Pepper Grey also looks nice but again I can't really put a nice set of alloy wheels to go with it. I guess I'l go with my original booking of Red.

Well silver is a bit dull IMO.
Regarding black, not so fond of black polo!
Take the white if you want an elegant look
Or take red if you want an attractive look..
Pepper grey is a very good choice & I love it. Since you are not interested, leave it! [:)]

@ToughGuy - you are right. Purchasing same color again & again is so dumb. You won't feel that it's a new car.
In my case, first car was a dark one (black), and now its the lightest one (white)

I'm finally going with red. Will be putting a set of low profile tyres with nickel alloy wheels. I hope I find the ones I'm looking for.
ToughGuy,How is the engine now after finishing the run-in period? Have you done any highway driving? Does it feel underpowered on highways?

Car becomes rocket after 2000 rpm, but below that turbo lag irritates I really like the diesel more than petrol mill..

Car pulls itself quite decently in second gear irrespective of incline, surge starts from 1600 rpm and you feel quite comfortable hovering around 2K mark always i didn't find anything like turbo lag but yes sometimes i lower the gear for quick overtakes in city traffic remember diesel is more fun to drive then petrol. Enjoy your drive!

@Poloman: kindly post the pics of rusted seat as promised.

Yeah. It's hard to maintain the black. It's a perfect colour for those who have enough time to spent on their car or else the car would be dusty black in colour [lol].

Good choice. And I would love to see the pictures of it with the low profile tyres & alloy wheels.
I guess there isn't any run-in period for volkswagen cars i.e the engine comes after the run-in period from the factories.
1-1.5k rpm is a bit lagging. And from 1.5k-2k is like normal. And after 2k the car just flies. [:)]
