I don't think it's THAT silver box. I had that box changed under warranty for DVD problems and my favourite locations were intact. so the navigation unit is something different than the silver box.
it's sad to see favourites go. isn't it possible to backup these on USB or something??

Awesome pictures bro. But I am amazed to see that there is absolutely no fog during this season. Had heard that there will be in Mahabaleshwar. BTW I have observed from the photoes that you have not opted for any side footsteps. Don't you feel that there is any need for that in XUV.

Fog?? Mahabaleshwar was quite hot. It was just a tiny bit chilly in the morning.

If I had senior relatives living with me. I might have opted for side footsteps. but no need for people even with average mobility.

Optimus turned One yesterday.
ODO reading: 15960km
Milleage over the year: 14+ kmpl
Parts replaced: Passenger side Front Power window motor, Brake pads replaced to 4th gen Galfer after 15000km.
Issues: None as of now.
Positives: Ride quality, AC, Size, Power, performance, comfort, etc. etc. etc. no need of reiterating the same facts.

Conclusion: One of the Best decisions of my Life. Very Happy with the Cheetah and the After Sales Service of Mahindra.

Recommended the same to 2 of my relatives one has already taken the plunge the other is waiting to make up his mind for a 5 seater or a 7 seater.

man man man, just fall in love with your Chitta. Very nice job done and looks so great.
Have you used any polisher machine for polishing? And what is that secret stuff? Like to know that.

Re: Say Hello to Optimus: A Tuscan Red Mahindra XUV5OO W8 FWD

Looks like the Stabilizer Bush issue has finally arose in Optimus as well.

Heard a Thud sound twice when the car went over a small speed breaker at higher than normal speed. plus at the same time getting some squeaking sound from when the Steering is turned to either left or right. the sound increases when the Suspension is also working basically speed breakers, uneven surface etc.

Is it the same as the Stabilizer bush issue or something else?
And what is the price of the Stabilizer Bush and will I be charged any kind of labour for the replacement?

Optimus has done more than 16400km. So, can I/Should I wait for the 2nd service or should it be replaced as soon as possible?

The Stab. bushes should be very cheap, less than Rs.200 a pair [front], I guess. Considering the kilometers run, I don't expect you to be charged for labour. Even if they do, it can't be a bomb.
There is a new robust design available as well, if at all your XUV has the first generation. Personally, I wouldn't run my car another 3.5 k odd km on damaged bushes or with other underlying issues, if any. Better to get your XUV a thorough inspection at the earliest.

Get it done right away, its hardly half an hour job - get your power steering pipe checked, i have a hunch , it might have a small leak. I am assuming wheel alignment is fine ?

Stab bushes used to cost 32 rs, i had emailed mahinda to charge double but to improve quality looks like they took it literally , it costs some 70 odd + labour. As its a wear and tear part they will charge, but its peanuts anyways not worth to even squabble. Ask them for latest bushes.
