Then they are using some locally sourced Chinese stuff. Honda list is 10,778 (sorry for thinking it is 13k+)
they have 3 options in sensors. The 10.7k one you posted does not have a video output. When you go next inquire about all.

I will update this next time when i visit their showroom. I guess it will cost 6000 max because the reverse parking sensor was a part of freebies worth 10000 Rs. This comes along with Mud flap, body cover and floor mat.

Guys, my real dilemma starts here.
Today i called up maruti true value to sell my existing wagonR and book Honda BRIO. They are offering 2.4L on my car and an exchange bonus of 25000 incase if i book a Ritz Vxi. I was actually looking to get 2.75L for my wagonR though. Now i have two options in hand

Option 1: Book Honda S(O)MT for 5.8L, in that case I will get 2.4L for my existing wagonR from Maruti true value. Here i have to spent 3.4L from my hand

Option 2: Book Ritz Vxi for 5.45 lakhs and enjoy the 25000 exchange bonus - here I have to pay 2.8L only.

Fellow members, please help me to take a decision. Do you think BRIO really worh for the 65000 extra I am paying in comparison to Maruti Ritz Vxi?. My wagonR is of 2008 model Vxi with alloy wheels, LCD display, michelin tyres as etxtras to its Vxi spec. Completed 48300 KM as of now.

you already own a maruti, now its time to experience a Honda and believe me you wont regret your decision. Go through the ownership reports of the Brio in this forum itself / google and you will see many happy faces around.

Completely agree with Nitin. Brio is far far better than Ritz. Do one thing, write down all the features that you bare looking for and mark them for both Ritz and Brio. Do the TD and you will your self get the answer.

Today I did a TD with new Ford Figo Titanium (Diesel) and Toyota Etios Liva (Diesel) with one of my friend who is an active member of another automotive online community. After test drive, now i am a bit confused because of the tempting diesel price in Bnagalore (Petrol costs 76 whereas Diesel costs just 51 for a liter). Evening when i reached my home, immediately opened my Laptop and started to do some exercise on an excel sheet. Images attached for your reference.

The datas like FE, EMI etc are from different dealerships and it may vary according to actual road conditions. Owners of these cars can give better feedback on this. However, the outcome of this comparison was like the BRIO is around 59000 cheaper than Figo and 38000 than Etios Liva to maintain for 5 years. I think, the service charges mentioned also may vary after two or three years but i could not consider that as i am least experienced with any of these cars. I have considered EMI for a 5 Year loan to arrive the figures in this comparison. I have considered 30 days in a month as we used o go church in sundays which is around Km away from my home.

Fellow members, please post your valuable input on this so that i will have clear picture before i book any one of this.

love your eye for detail.

You have done an awesome analysis and your chart clearly shows petrol cars inspite of the high fuel cost still work out cheaper at current rates. The comparative analysis will change if petrol becomes more expensive visa-v diesel but simultaneously the maintenance cost of diesel cars will be always more. As we all know diesel cars are prone to more breakages as they age faster.

another thing which you may like to consider to this chart is the resale value of the car, say after 5 to 7 years. A little bit of extrapolation will make your chart more realistic. You or anyone will be bored of driving the same vehicle after 5 years :p:

Hi GNS, is it for 5 yrs for the last column?
Total expenditure 1 yr brio cost as you said is 1,64,820.57 Rs multiply by 5 yrs comes to 8,24,102.85.
From where you got the figure 13,18,564.57?
