Mahindra has been rigorously testing the new Scorpio as new images of test mules have started to surface from the roads of Maharashtra. But this time, more details have emerged as automotive expert and communication professional, Harmaan Madon, posted the engine specs for the new Mahindra Scorpio on his Twitter handle @harmaan_madon.

Madon, through his posts on microblogging website, Twitter, has said that the new Scorpio will receive a mHawk engine that would produce about 138 bhp. The upcoming SUV will also expected to be sold with an automatic gearbox. Another SUV from Mahindra’s stable to receive the automatic gearbox will be the XUV500.

A huge number of spy pics revealed over the internet point out that the Mahindra Scorpio facelift will receive a set of new headlights with LED fixtures, a redesigned bumper, a refreshed grille and new fog lamps. The model will also sport a new hood and redesigned front fenders along with LED tail lights at the rear.

I seriously doubt if the current body dynamics will be able to handle the surge in the BHP @ 138. With the current suspension and setup at 120 BHP our 2013 Oct Scorpio (new model) cannot be pushed to the heck. It still handles like a good boat similar to our 2009 Scorpio VLX.

Reader from IAB website has spotted a close look of W105 Projector Lamps, Front Headlamps.



Latest buzz is that all new face Scorpio will launch in festive season Diwali time.

Previous post indicates the same engine has tune to 138 PS.

Now I stuck here, why they are skipping roof AC. Isn't it is mus required to have roof AC for 3 row seats. Roof AC vent like Ertiga & Mobilio will work too and for that they don't need to change their design.

Now eagerly waiting for this Scorpio. I'm fan of Double Lamps Head lights.

W105 Headlights are identical to 2011 Dodge Charger.

Not sure how long mahindra is planning to test this scorpio for a mere facelift.
I can imagine how much time they will take to launch an all new Scorpio. This wait is getting restless.

I don't understand one thing.
why mahindra testing this face lift version for long period of time? They tested XUV5OO for 4-5 years & output product came with problems only. at least initial 2 years was hell for buyers.
Quanto also repeated same story.
Why mahindra pay this silly Test drivers who don't have knowledge about issues to be checked while testing. I guess they just run vehicle in name of testing. and then mahindra launch the product with BIG hype, people buy that vehicle because they trust mahindra & output is

The new scorpio facelift is pretty smart. I have seen it during its road test. The main change over that i saw is in the front grille, dashboard, alloys, and in headlamps. The headlamp has been designed a little stretched than the old design with an add on of xenon headlamp. The new look seems good. In interior part the metre console is added with a silver coloured beading like effects & all.

After looking at spy pic, i noticed that its a White color test mule of Scorpio W105 but door handle at back side is blackened like Safari stome's back side

Safari storme does not have a back handle as such i believe. Its got a tiny button behind the chrome strips which opens the back door. Any newbee can get lost looking for the way to open it

I have uploaded the photo for comparison. I know safari strome don't have black color door handle at back but there is a Black OR probably grey color plastic line on the back side of Safari Strome.

Here are some new spy shot of upcoming W105 Scorpio.

Mahindra is just testing, testing & testing for this facelift like XUV5OO, Quanto & Xylo facelift.

BTW side profile looks odd in comparison with redesigned front & back.

Why still they have camouflage the test vehicle as most of the parts of vehicle is already exposed through TAI & other automotive forum.

There are changes on the suspension setup which would be on better part with this launch from mahindra.
Seatings dont know what changes are made.
