i think they do not want to repeat the story of XUV500
the car was reported with several problems and mahindra even now has not been able to rectify it

i guess they want to thoroughly test their car and then launch it.Good for both the buyer and the company.
Even now in rural areas mahindra is popular because of scorpio not Xuv500

This is what is expected and with the delays for its launch we should see that they launch the new scorpio with most of the complains sorted out before that.
It isnt just a cosmetic changes done else would have been launched till now by mahindra. So lets hope we get niggle free scorpio that gets launched.

Based on the posts it looks like there is no change in the chasis or engine they are only tring to improve the interios as well so some facelifts, August launch cannot be much of expectation hope they give the best what ever they launch. Looking at the replies in the thread I fell like it would be similar to the launch of Sumo Gold 2013 but much hyped.

The Scorpio 's built itself is a too-much tall boy design. Too narrow and too tall. I does handle like a boat. We have bought our second Scorpio just 6 months ago.

It handles like a boat. No matter what fine tuning you do you cannot improve it, except you plan to add something like Bose suspension technology. No no big expectations from this angle.

Engine and Gear box tech...... might be.

Really surprising that no one has been able to capture a undisguised picture of this much awaited truck.Hats off to mahindra for keeping it in tight wraps from prying eyes.but we are waiting eagerly for the launch. Do anyone know of the date of launch? Am inclined to buy the safari storme but this car holds me from my decision

Friend working in Nashik plant Mahindra said this about launch during Ganesh Puja.

The real Kudos for M&M goes to the visionary behind the Scorpio-despite its boat like ride,it has captured the imagination of 4-5000 Indians month on month-amazing,so many yrs after its launch.

Today I got a message from Siver Jubliee Motors Pune which is a Mahindra showroom :

Pay 99,999 as down payment with 75,000 discuont on Scorpio prices rising from next month. I felt as I if they are clearing the old stock

Cabin looks modern and feature rich, but yet to see the quality of cabin and ride quality.
The low space is a big negative point.

Interior of upcoming Scorpio is quite innovative & INNOVA-ish. Interior design & quality looks top notch & rich but seats are still old style & fabric.
It will be good if Mahindra came with Leather seats (like XUV5OO W8 model) for top models e.g. VLX. & Most important, Lumber support feature like Xylo & XUV5OO.


P.S.-Hope mahindra sorted out the cabin noise issue in this model.

Finally few more spy pics and these are clear. New Grill is integrated vertical tooths with Chrome inserted and Blackened in all variants.

I like the "SCORPIO" Emblem on Dashboard.



Dual Color tone Dashboard like Facelift Xylo. Speedo meter cluster seems to be VLX variant with Gear Indicator.

Now the best part is here headlamps. It got smoked dual lamps and Projector Lamps. One this is come to notice, the upper portion of Headlamps has silver lining similar to BMW Series 3 (2010) are they DRL's ???




Now its more than 10 Months and rapidly testing for mid life facelift.
Mahindra had launch XUV/Quanto with extensive road testing and we all know what happens to these UV.

Now one thing I missed here is Roof AC.
