The "D" shaped blinkers looking nice.



Few Questions -

Is the new Facelift W105 gonna comes with those dummy red plastic lamp covers over the D Pillars ?

Any Change for Tail Gate like repositioning of Number Plate ?

Head Lamps seems to be Double Lights one of them may be HID/LED.
Bumper has muscular crease lines above number plate.
Redesigning of Fog lamps house is required.
Grills may be got more Tooth now and straight

After looking at spy pic, i noticed that its a White color test mule of Scorpio W105 but door handle at back side is blackened like Safari stome's back side

New Scorpio update:

From a very reliable source, I have got a news that Mahindra Engineers at MRV (Mahindra Research Valley) have done lot of work to eliminate rattles & squeaks in New Scorpio. They had benchmarked Innova in this regard. Aim was to make a Scorpio that will remain absolutely " rattles & squeaks free" even after few lakhs of kilometers. My source added that recent internal testing results are confirming that hard work has paid off.

I must say, step in a right direction by Mahindra.

Because its a base model (EX/LX) Door handles comes without body color.

Rattles & Niggles free from Mahindra after Lakh KMs . If they can give this reliable than sure Mahindra heading towards good Quality. Ride & Handling is must need for this SUV with sharp turning Corners.

Rattle free mahindra vehicle!!

Lets hope for the best.

Mahindra always wasted good opportunities, like they wasted XUV5OO.
It was a global vehicle but came with hell like problems (rattle issue is one of them & it is still there)

i don't think so it is a LX base model, because LX don't have side cladding & body color bumper & as per the picture, whole part is in black color like TATA Safari Strome.

I dont know squeaking & rattling noise above 1 lakh km odd but the scorpio which i used for 3 year did not had a single rattles or squeak noise from any part although it was roughly used for around 55k km with no modification to ICE.
Personally I felt that after doing some modifications such adding reverse camera and new speakers with new wiring rattling is bound to happen.
Btw the new headlights looks bit similar to new bolero headlight.

Nice to see Scorpio with Side Cladding as Standard fitments. But may be base model will not get Body Color. However Spoiler, Roof Rails & Antenna are not there.

I just sold my Ikon now eagerly waiting for this Beast to launch.

Can any one tell me the exact launching month of Scorpio ?

Few websites are assuming the launch in Festive Season. But which month is Festive Season ?? Diwali (Oct-Nov).

Hi Guys,


I just called to my friend working at Mahindra Nashik Plant and asked him about W105. He said that New Scorpio W105 will come with Roof AC., But i have a query here as seen in all spy pics there were no signs of Roof AC in any single Pics.

About launching he said Maximum July End. Suspension been tweaked.

Guys can any one confirm here about Roof AC.

If Scorpio is coming with Roof AC than definitely it will be lead the SUV segment like Bolero.

I was just quoting similar headlight design with the Durango nothing else, I may be wrong though, only time will tell. Just refer to earlier rendering.

SUV was park and covered by some carton box at rear. Don't know what they hiding ?



Here the Integrated Bonnet Scoop been redesign and net grill looks hexagon.



5 Spoke Alloys with Y shape at End looks neat and Smart.



Headlights are Projector now Tata Safari Storme will get some heat here. I am eagerly waiting to see the whole Head lamp units hope to see before launch.
It may be Double Lamp Cluster and Smoked. Blinkers / Parking can be LED and there will be Some Orange fake at bottom of corner near to Grill. Can't see any Chrome inserted linings in Head lamp Cluster.

As July is coming so may be the production model has started.

One most thing which I never found in any of Spy pics is any kind signs for Roof AC / Blower.

Side Cladding now seems standard which is really required it gives muscles to Scorpio even Tata Safari has Cladding in all variants without body color in lower variants also. Without Cladding it never looks like SUV.

Thanks for Old Roof Rails which are not redesigned like integrated roof rails of Xylo/XUV/Quanto/i10 Grande.

Side Cladding looks like Tata Safari Storme. Flat, Wider and Neat.
Did they removed the SCORPIO emblem from Passenger Door cladding ?

However no changes in Side Mirror, Spoiler and Rear Bumper.
Which are highly expected in any Facelift. Side Blinkers on ORVM.

Rear Bumper can be redesign with new shape of reflector and foot step can be redesigned.

Side Foot Step are Blackened like new Xylo. But even now Scorpio SLE/VLX are coming with Black Side Step & Mud Guards. Recently my friend bought a SLE Variant with black side step & mud guards.


LED Tail lamps will be first in segment. Dummy red plastic cover looks to be continue on D Pillar. Better to make it Black like XUV.

Rear Viper looks same like M800.

Now waiting for the big launch, its been a year of testing.
The long Mahindra test their vehicle the more Niggles comes out (XUV 500) or it won't sale like hot cakes (Quanto).

Yesterday I called to my friend he is in Mahdindra Nashik plant and asking him for the confirmation of Roof AC he made a conference call to his colleague who was in plant and at assembly line.

No Roof AC -
Side Cladding in all variants (L2, L4, L6, L8 & L10)
Production Model started.
Ganesh Chaturthi is launching period (Aug-29)
Marketing Teams are now most involve.
Suspension been tuned.
Headlamps has changed (asking about more he said I can't tell you on phone)

After asking so many question he got nervous and said I will call you later.

So guys it seems that W105 still ahead for more 3 months.

No Roof AC really hurts me. Now I'm waiting for the launch.

Ganesh Chaturthi is launching period (Aug-29)????? I thought mahindra will launch Facelift Scorpio in June as Scorpio was launched in June 2002.

So mahindra will test scorpio again for 3 months & more spy photos yet to come..
