Do we have any further information on the launch date of this facelift Scorpio? This thread is not anymore interesting as we don't get much information. What happened to the one who had some connect with Mahindra and was providing some info? Mahindra launch it soon it's only a facelift and not a new launch ![frustration]

The launch of New Scorpio must be close enough. Mahindra is suddenly offering generous benefits of upto Rs.60,000 on existing stock.

Mahindra has commenced the production of New Scorpio anticipating high demand once it launches next month. To avoid the XUV500-like sales fiasco, the company is rolling out 100 New Scorpio units per day to build up a stock of over 5000 units before launch. (Source: link).

Since it is a "Scorpio" we are talking about here, the company has no qualms about building a stock of 5000 units since it is pretty sure that it will be lapped up well by the market.

The Scorpio has become a brand name by itself in the Indian market.

No I just Found Picture from the internet im sure Scorpio Arrive soon to the Dealer as per above few post mahindra give huge discount on scorpio im Excited Even My father want to Buy . this picture may be Different to the original one this is rendering Image. May be Its Looks more Muscular then this Image.

I hope this is all new from the ground up and not a facelift.

By all new, I mean new chasis and stuff, dont care about the looks.

On a different note, if Mahindra is indeed targeting 5000 units before launch and is producing them since August 1, then 100 x 50 = 5000. Therefore, it's possible that launch could be around 19 Sept. (i.e. At most by end-september or early October). Of course, just a random speculation. Don't take my word for it.

Folks in motorbeam have spotted a facelifted base version Scorpio somewhere in Gujarat RTO.from the pics its clear that the base version will have the power windows button behind the gear lever.not sure why Mahindra took that approach [frustration]

Look at the speed dials & center console, reminds me of sumo's dashboard. still fit-finish & quality feels top notch. [clap]

Hope mahindra will launch Scorpio in this month only.[roll]

So the base variant gets the -

* Old door pads (that explains the power windows on the centre console)
* Black Centre console
* Old instrument console
* No projectors (expected)

Thankfully, it does have the option of front facing third row. Also, the second row gets an armrest, which is good. But the front row does not!

I like the Scorpio etching on the LHS of the dash below the AC vent.

From the RTO Pic (Ahemedabad) seems Launch is imminent now, may be around navratri (23 Sep) as they launch XUV also during the Navratri.

Seems to be EX variant model
No Roof Rails, NO Audio System, Steering Black only, No Roof Antenna, No Spoiler
Door Pads are same as outgoing model,
Power Window Switches Near hand brake (why Mahindra...??),
Scorpio emblem on left corner of Dashboard is of plastic no Chrome/Metal.
3rd Row seems no changes, legroom is cramped.

But few additions are welcome
Side Cladding now seems Standard in across all model (Good Initiate that looks a real SUV) but its not with body color in EX/LX (can be done after market)
Dual Tone color interior across all model.
8 Seater option with front facing now in EX Variant.
Rear AC vents now upwards.

I am waiting for this SUV and planning to try my hands on base model only (EX/LX), few things which I really want to have in scorpio base models like, Roof Rails, 16" Tyres, Power Windows switches on door pads, captain seats in middle row, ABS,.


I hope Mahindra launch new Scorpio with marginal price hike like 10K - 15K.
