that is great but isn't it too less considering the price and brand name? i know that mahindra quanto got 5000 bookings in 3 weeks so comparatively its better but still lesser bookings i think.

another info which i got from a dealer is that the car will be available in 2 options of interior colors in the same particular model. means for eg. u will get to choose lxi model either with grey or brown interior.
and i was surprised to know that this car will get cng and petrol fuel gauge in the instrument panel one on left and one on right side of the speedometer unlike cng used to be on the right door side for wagon r or estilo.

yes rajvel there is an option of an airbag( driver side) but i dont think ABS will be available due to cost constraint.
I have checked with one of the maruti dealer in Hyderabad to offer the vehicle for a test ride. guys today i received a call from maruti information department from the company itself asking and verifying about the sms that i had sent for the inquiry of alto 800. that official person on the call confirmed the update that it will have 4 petrol models and only 1 cng model.3 models of petrol with std,lx and lxi and 4th one will be separate option of airbag.
but only 1 model of cng i.e.lxi like we have in wagon r or estilo. and lxi cng will come with 2 interior choices of brown or grey.
maruti has not revealed any prices yet but the following site gives you the details and i don't know how and whether it is true..

Nice work, paragthegreat. It has been said earlier but I shall say it again, the Alto 800 looks like a mini Figo from the front. This car will no doubt do well in the market if priced properly.
