Superb coverage.

I think people will prefare for this than nano. Hope this does not sound like nano. and does this come on petrol alone or some other fuel also. In one of the pic it looks like it has a huge tank behind rear seat in boot area.

i got more information and observations for this car. here it is to be noted that its my pure observation of what i saw in the stockyard.it may not be true or in accordance with the company official information.
1-alto 800 cng top model will cost you aprrox. 3.75 OTR mumbai(info from a dealer in mumbai)

2-if my info is correct then it will have 3 petrol and 3 cng varients and each will be like std,LX and LXI.if we assume it to be true then lxi is the top most version in each fuel option,and i have observed that cng lxi version does not have an airbag option.(even though its a top end model)

3-but petrol lxi model has an airbag.
4-when i asked the dealer about it he said even he is not sure but may be its like one more version of option pack which will come with an airbag in cng mode.(then price will be much more than wht i have mentioned above.)

5-cng top end (lxi-not option pack) has silver lining on the steering but the whole dash board and steering wheel itself are in black color.
6-petrol top model (lxi) has beige color of dash and steering wheel and it has an airbag.

7-any of the doors dont open 90 degrees like wagon r.its i think 70 or 80 degree.
8-i did not find any speakers or provision of speakers in cng top model lxi.

9- and last but not the least is rear windows dont roll down completely,again i think its 1/10 th part remains up approx.

I some how feel this car looks very awkward to be a modern day car. The current gen alto 800 looks better than this. I suspect this car is going to have the fate if A star and Estilo.

That was very good information. You have not mentioned about the FE. So this is not in LPG/Diesel. There were information that Diesel could be one of the fuel types for this.

Well Parag, thanks for the detailed snaps, the interiors are not upto the mark and many things are copied everywhere, the design of Figo, Lamps which looks like the I10's and Side profile like of the vehicle mentioned in my first sentence. Just saw a pic in FB of the outer angle of the car, disappointment.

I agree Indian roads has many pot-holes, but too much of care is too bad i say.

nano and alto 800 will have their own pros and cons so confused a bit now.BTW if top cng model is around 3.75 OTR mumbai then one will definitely go for wagon r lxi cng at 4.50(after discount of 35000) by paying 75000 rs extra.

actually i could not test drive it so can not comment on FE but my info is that in petrol it is 22.74km/ltr(15% higher than earlier alto) and in cng it is 31km/kg ()approx.

thanks umang, and to my horror, cng top end model is at 3.75 OTR mumbai.i dont know whether to cry or to laugh.

this is to inform you that the new alto 800 is available for a test drive for the reporters and auto experts i believe because in last 2 days i am finding the reviews on the web.can we expect a detailed report from our very own moderators?

thanks a lot i need it on urgent basis.today i got the additional news regarding the 6 vibrant colors of alto 800, they are as follows:
1) white(my uploaded pics)
2) red(my uploaded pics)
3) silver(as seen in one of the test drive reports)
4) light blue( as seen in many test drive reports)
5) dark blue( as in new swift)
6) grey or something similar shade( dont know the technical name but as introduced in ertiga)( my personal choice)
