The elite i20 rear and specially the tail lights seems to be inspire from Peugeot-Citroen. The interiors are a class above, feels sumpremely upmarket and in the Audi-ish league. Hyundai has another winner on the cards.

The new i20 is 3850mm in length, 10mm less than the current one.

The length of the exisiting i20 is 3995mm , and the elite i20 is of similar length to stay below 4 meter and have a benefit of lower excise duty.

Went to showroom to see new elite i 20 saw brochure and car. i have noted that sportz and asta model has ABS but brochure does not mention of EBD.Can anyone clarify if elite i 20 has ebd along with abs.Was not allowed to drive as launch tomorrow. Another thing is both sportz and asta come with reverse camera with parking sensors but parking sensor dispay in MID is seen only in ASTAbut i could not understand this feature is to disable parking sensors option.Even the SA was clueless as he has seen the brochure just today.

More on variants before the final unveiling,

The Elite i20 will launch with a petrol and a diesel engine, both carried over from the previous model. The 1.2-liter petrol produces 83 PS (81.8 bhp) and 11.7 kgm of torque and comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. The 1.4-liter diesel engine makes 90 PS (88.73 bhp) and 22.4 kgm of torque and comes paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
A total of five variants will be on offer: Era, Magna, Sportz, Sportz (O) and Asta.
The base Era is equipped with power steering, front power windows, manual AC and central locking.
The Magna adds to this a foldable key, rear parcel shelf, front armrest, a 2-DIN music system with 1 GB internal memory, front and rear speakers, AUX-in, USB, steering mounted controls, rear power windows, rear AC vents, electrically adjustable wing mirrors and a cooled glovebox.
The Sportz sees the addition of a driver airbag, ABS, rear parking sensors, rear view camera, electrochromatic rear view mirror, rear defogger, leather wrapped gearlever and steering wheel, wing mirrors with turn indicators and power fold function, tilt and telescopic steering and automatic AC.

The Sportz (O) comes with clutch lock, smart key, alloy wheels and chrome door handles.

The top-end Asta is packed with the above features plus front passenger airbag, automatic headlights, rear wiper and washer and a secondary power socket.​

The petrol engine delivers an ARAI certified fuel economy of 18.60kmpl (Era and Magna varaints) while the fuel efficient diesel engine gives a mileage of 22.54kml (Era and Magna varaints).

The petrol varaints named Sports, Sports Option and Asta give an average of 18.24kmpl and the same varaints in diesel gives mileage of 21.76kmpl

Hyundai releases a Longer i20 for Europe.

The new model is larger than the European-market car it replaces, and is based on an all-new architecture. It measures 4035 millimetres in length and has a wheelbase that has been stretched to 2570mm (an increase of 45mm). The boot is said to have jumped in size, too, to 326 litres
In terms of appearance the European-designed model boasts plenty of style, with large sharp headlights with LED daytime running lights, a bold hexagonal grille reminiscent of the much dearer Genesis luxury sedan, and a bold lower bumper design.

The rear of the car is more conventional in terms of its bumper and boot-lid treatment, while the blacked-out D-pillar sections aim to give the illusion of the car’s roof floating above the body. A rear-view camera is said to be offered, and may pop out from behind the H badge on the boot.
Hyundai says the growth provides European market buyers with “class-leading interior space, a host of high-technology and comfort-enhancing features, and distinctive, refined design”. According to Hyundai the new model is the first in its class to get a panoramic sunroof, which is expected to be an option or standard fit on high-end models, and can tilt or open entirely.

On the outside, the European i20 gets LED-infused projector headlamps, a sportier front bumper, different alloy wheels and reflectors on the rear bumper. The top-end variant will also get a panoramic sunroof with tilt capability as an option. Except for the reflectors, none are available in India.​

I heard there is Sports (O) variant added to i20 Elite. Is it true and what extra features will it include? Interesting move though!
Between, this new design looks class apart and should blow away recently upgraded Punto Evo as well as VW Polo. But the pricing seems to be on higher side (~40k) than existing i20.
