Man, thats a lot. I'll have to wait a while to get 'em installed.

Yesterday while on the way home a biker tried to overtake me from the left. He came speeding from nowhere. At the last minute he found out that the space is too less for him to pass through, but he still tried. In that, he managed to scratch the door a bit.

Luckily there are transparent autographix edge protectors (a set of 8 which cost me 800/- from a local vendor) which bore the brunt. But there's a faint scratch on the body. Tho' it's not much visible, but for me it's apparent that it exists.
what are transparent autographix edge protectors ? Can you give some more information on this? Also from where have u got the side protectors installed? Can you gve the local vendor details ? I live in Andheri west

Thanks a lot buddy.
Even I thought a lot about the rear wiper option, then when I wen to the parking lot of my office, I saw N numbers of swift, ritz etc vxi/vdis without a rear wiper. Non of the sedans now a days have rear wiper, so I thought what the heck, it cant be so bad right ??

Now the bigger glass portion as you say, will add the the visibility factor in the monsoon IMHO rather than being an inconvenience. Lets wait till monsoon arrives...

Also while doing R&D before buying the car, I had read in some forum about a possibility of an aftermarket defogger. It was a very cost effective solution as well. I will further dig into it soon.

Totally true about driving in the traffic, I am enjoying every bit of it, every day.

Cant agree more with you Patnaik,

But some members get real grumpy about unbiased opinions.
Guys I've test driven almost all hatchs and zeroed out with the BReeO, about to buy S-MT sooner and just waiting to sell my Fiat UNO diesel 1999 model once sold will be booking brio ASAP, the TestDrive expereince was great and I don't see much negatives about the vehicle,e xcept for rear thigh support and suspension, and My uno has various issues rather few good working parts![lol] so I don't find the rear wiper being an issue because my UNOs front wiper wouldnt work some time I would have to drive as in Mr. Bean poping my head out, no OVRM (outside mirror is broken), rear view mirror is good but at times falls down and the rear windsheild has a black screen on it so you hardly see things coming behind you and I always say this to me, don't look back while driving watch out for things in front as let people coming behind do the same!!!!!, even the brakes tend to fail at times and no cure found from MY TVS only one headlight works one of the indicators is non funcational and the other side is missing[frustration], right rear door handle is broken and there is a hole, trust me I had some financial crisis and would have to live with it but the except for the exterior factors rest where good, sply the engine performance--- Never used the first gear even at slopy signals just hit the 2nd gear no accelarator required, the moment the cluct is being released car starts taxiing...performance is unbeatable however due to some of the mentioned faults I thought not to spend more for it but change a new one and have chosen Brio, thinking to have the vehicle either for my birthday on 4th Oct or for Diwali where Hoda Might intrduce some offers.
And for my Rear wiper isint a big deal since I driven my UNO even without the front wipers, and trust me I aint a slow poke and always wanted to push the vehicle to its maximum limits, Avg 50-60 at my street... so one has no worries over the rear wiper. Brio is my kinda car and My vote is for the BREEO

Hey Guys and the owner of the Brio. i just booked BRIO VMT at Deccan Honda Pune and after enquiry from the sales personal, i found that the dealer is having the car manufactured in the month of April 2012. The Sales Personal also refused to provide me with VIN of the vehicle, whether it is correct, should i go ahead with the booking or can ask for the more details from the Honda. I have only paid an initial booking amount and salepersonal is asking for the full payment before it will provide me the details. any way, I have great liking towards Brio but due to the experience with selling process, i am not able to decide upon on it. so it is my sincere request to you all to guide me

i paid double

FR corner protector (pair) 2118 + RR corner protector (pair) 2023 + side protector Rs 5055 ( 4 pcs) = 9196 but yes all these were painted red for me [anger]

They asked me for another 1K for painting them in blue, i refused, as i wanted them to be in balck and and also, if there are any scratches on them then, they might look ugly.

Guys, I have couple of questions
1. After cars delivery, i had put 25 liters of petrol, and drove around 94KMs (with no traffic, 4 adults in car, and complete AC on, and mostly at speeds > 65KMPH), and Trip meter shows 14KMPL.I just wanted to understand, 14KMPL is good mileage? [confused]

2. On of my friend had complete rubber floor carpet in his POLO, and he says it is easier to clean the car. So, I am planning to put complete rubber carpet on car floor too. Is this suggestible?

1) 14kmpl, IMO, is an excellent average to start with. Considering that you've just got the delivery of your car, I'd say give it some time for the engine to open up.
If possible, drive mostly on the highways. Keep the speed below 60-70kmph till you cross 1k-1.5k kms.

Once the car crosses 5k kms, you'll come to know the true average your Brio will sport.

2) For the monsoon, I had purchased 2 sets of rubber mats from a local dealer. Try doing that instead of changing the original carpet completely. Also purchase a vacuum cleaner which proves to be very handy.

Those body colored bumpers looks cool , did you fit it from honda dealer or from outside local shops ?
The honda dealers charges like hell.

Last week I was out to fit parking sensors for my car, two of the Honda dealers were quoting 5.5k for a simple LED based parking sensor.
Called the third dealer (Magnum Honda) and he quoted 3.5. Went to the dealer, did the work and he billed only 3k on the spot [:)]
So I guess the honda dealers just take advantage of the brand name and over price most of the accessories.
I got them from a local dealer. This dealer was a trusted one as a few of my close friends got their accessories/repairs done from him. That's why without any second thoughts I blindly trusted him .. and it worked out just fine.

True, Honda dealers charge like hell and thats why I aint even bothered to enquire about accessories there.

Can you post a pic of you reverse sensor screen (or rear view mirror). I'll do the same with the LED ON. I purchased it for 2.2k. Obviously, there are many variants to it and are priced accordingly. The reverse sensor is surely a useful accessory to have. Cheers.

I'll click a few pix to depict that.

The name of the shop from where i got all the accessories (Floor Mats, Seat covers, Reverse Sensor, Sun Films, Side protectors, Anti-Rust Coat, Teflon Coat) is CAR COOL. The shop is exactly opp. Milan Mall (or Inox theatre) at Milan sub-way (Near SV Road junction).

I'll PM u his number. You always have the choice to negotiate from various vendors. Just that this guy can be trusted .. or I wouldn't have taken the risk of letting any Tom, Dick or Harry handle my car [:)]

Got this bit of information from another review site, if this can help somebody
==========================================================
Congrats on your purchase GPA. I have a Brio SMT and your mileage figures are quite comparable to what I am getting. And yes, even I expect the mileage to go up after 2nd service/oil change. However, initially I was getting a very low mileage (9.5-10) and on sending the car to Honda service, they did something called "Idle run procedure" which was recommended by Honda to sort out mileage issues. So if you get concerned with mileage then it might be worth checking if its done on your car as well.
This is some handy bit of information that John had posted. Thanks for that again, John.

My BRIO is due for its 2nd service in Nov. Should I ask the service executive about this procedure mentioned in the post above?

Can anyone shed more light on this?

To be frank I just got this from other automotive site and have no idea on this.
I think its better to ask as to what exactly they do in this.

Regarding parking sensors what I got is LED one and not the screen one.
In the previous post you asked for pic of screen/mirror type

Hi Car001. April is fine. When I was looking around in August, I got an April 2012 make too. All the dealers I inquired had the April 2012 model only. No wonder they are offering a big discount on the VMT model - I got a 55k discount.

anilkumargurla -- whats your manufacture month?

@ raging_ice, Mine is may-12.

@ car001, I don't see any problem with April'12 as manufacturing date. go ahead with it.

When i was there at the show room 2 weeks back, i decoded VIN number of almost every vehicle there, and found most of the cars there are haveing their manufacturing date betweem April -June.
