New Honda Brio SMT - Ownership Review

Seems u obsessed with red color as u own also red one.

my 1st car santro was golden
my 2nd car also a santro was silver
my 3rd car palio S10 was yellow
and my current one as u rightly said is red


yeah, just realized we have chatted before. Just dont become too negative with the black.

did a bit of googling for the black

Black is sexy
The color looks uber cool
if you buy a white car, that gets dirtier faster!
If you listen to those people, then you certainly won't buy a black car. Look at the other aspects of the car. If all is well and you like the black one, get it.


cons
Black cars are hot. But they can be too hot(in sun).
Gets dirty fast and scratches show better
Black looks good 10 feet away, rains or at night because you cant see the scratches or dirt.
Black cars reqire a lot of maintenance. Otherwise they look dirty all the time.
Resale value will decrease coz scratches will shine.

Hi to All Brio Owners,

I have been following your thread from a week or so. I am planning to buy Honda Brio this month, when I visited the show room in Madhapur (pride Honda), here is what they quoted for SMT (O)

Ex-Show Room 507000.00
Special Discount 15000.00
Insurance cost (ZERO DEP) 17256.00 (14000 from Honda, my pocket 3256)
Life Tax (14%) 71230.00 (14% am taking on company name
Handling Charges 5500.00
Permanent Registration 3,000 (not paying for this I will do it on my own)

Total Price On road is coming to 571986.00

I am also not getting anything else extra (like freebies, extra fittings) from the dealer either. Only thing they promised in Teflon coating

After seeing the price quoted by RahulKrishna, I was surprised, that VMT is coming at a price of 5.5 on road.

Rahul, can you please help me out in this regard, may be the details of person whom you / your dad have dealt with at green Honda. So that you know I can have a similar deal.

naa, ac is efficient, and yes it does take some time to cool if ur car is parked in the the sun for a while coz of the glass. i own a brio as well, take a look at my thread if u get time

p.s black brio looks cool. and it would have been my first choice had i been buying this - A Speculative Render of the 2013 Honda Brio Sedan

I was also thinking of taking a SMT(O) Variant until i got this deal from Green Honda and went for VMT varitant. My sister talked to the sales man today and he said he would be glad to offer the same deal to you too. His name is Ajay. I don't know if it is appropriate to post his number here in the forum. I will instead PM his mobile number to you.

Here is something that you need to take note of. Green Honda has opened a new branch in Warangal and this sales man Ajay is being transferred to Warangal in this month. It seems that he also mentioned that this offer is only valid till the 15th of September. So i suggest you to contact Ajay at the earliest. Even if you cant buy the car before the 15th, at least paying some money in advance to book your Brio VMT will be good enough.

As you are taking the car under a company name you will be charged 14% Life tax as opposed to 12% life tax which i was charged. This will make your car around 10,000 more than what i got for. So you should be getting it for 5.66 L. But this is still lesser than what you are being offered at pride honda and on top of that getting a higher variant here.

I am also not being offered any freebies/extra fittings with the Brio VMT variant at green honda. I don't think you need to worry about it because its the best deal that you can get.

lol, you are comparing apple with oranges. yes agree ingress and egress will take time to get used to, but the premium feel in brio is out of the world.

Hi Rahul, yesterday I was browsing TAI in my mobile, was not able to get his number that time, but i called Green Honda manager today morning, and requested him to bring Ajay too. Today morning did a test drive of brand new Brio VMT - White, and the drive is good.
finalized the deal for the amount - 561520 ( which included 14% life tax)
To my suprise, while leaving my place, he said that since Your deal and My deal are getting finalized today itself, he will give Floor mats, body cover and teflon coats for free. I Believe he would have informed the same to your sister.
In addition to these other accessories i have opted for are seat covers, sun film (after permenant registration), bumper and door protectors.

appreciate all your and your sister efforts in this regard.

let me know i have to opt for any other mandatory accessories.

We are still in the process for applying the loan. Once the loan is processed we should be getting the Brio in a weeks time.

Hi rahul, This is the latest update from my side, i have yet to receive the proforma from dealer, likely to get it today, Booked a White Brio, and they they promised the delivery on this weekend. But, we are planning to take the delivery on 20th, as there were no auspicious days in between.

i am also facing the same problem what Rahul faced, I have booked white BRIO, but family is against white, thy are saying blue is good. But, I am telling them that white is easier to maintain than other colors.
