Initial mileage test of 530 KMS was done on 45 litre. That is an average of 12 kms/litre. No bad considering 280 kms of that run was on highway and remaining in city traffic. I am sure the mileage will improve post first service.

Got the seat covers done this Sunday. Had ordered the same last week.
The fitting took almost 4 hours.
The captain sets were removed to do the fitting. The bench seat at the rear was fitted in its place. I insisted on removing the captain seats and fitting as I felt that would give a better finish.
Let the picture do the talking
Cost is Rs.6,500 /- including fitting charges.

Few shots of the beauty during the weekend.
WoW[clap]
Those Seat covers look amazing!
So now that I am so thrilled, I got to bombard you with some questions.[evil]
1. This was ordered and made locally?
It is truly value for money indeed. I enquired the MGA and Autoform, they are asking to shell out another 1000-1500 more, also they have Scorpio logo Embossed in them and their design looks quite simple.[frustration]
2. Did you consider going for the Mahindra Vehicle tracker?
3. Did you make any queries on fitting a Gear Lock because after all advancements in technology I feel that this Old School system really acts as a secondary mode of defense after the vehicle security alarm system.
4. Please let me know whether you have received any separate operating instructions for the Mahindra fitted Security system.
5. Lastly, did you consider going for any in-dash camera, I am really cornered on this, really need someone to shed some light on that.

Yes I scrapped the idea at the last moment, because I was not sure I liked the display as they have verbally mentioned.
I was expecting a combined display of the distance and rearview, but instead they said that the current display will be minimised in the top corner and will show combined as a picture in picture format.
So now until I get to see the resultant display,I will not go for a camera, because the distance sensors are good enough for me to back up. [:D]

Rohit,
The cover was made locally. Insist on the fit and finish. That what make the difference. probably you can ask them to show few of the work they have done. The same guy had done the seat covers in my wife's car.Its in its 4th year is doing good. So you may need to look for a cover guy who is got more options.
Frankly I was not aware of the Mahindra vehicle tracking system. hence went for this one recommended by HDFC bank.
If you feel the vehicle is not safe where you park it is advisable to have a gera locak system as that is the best security option. I did not opt for it because my office and home parking are pretty secure.

Do not try any in dash camera from any vendor. They don't work properly. I tried the same. Mahindra is about to launch their camera which will be an integrated one with sensor as well as vision. Autotrendz here checked my car and said the camera install needs some programming changes hence it is best that Mahindra fits it.

The seat covers are looking really nice.....

Vaibhav,
Mahindra is about to launch the camera. Suggest you wait for it as that will be an integrated one with the sensor.

Heading to Goa tomorrow night for a bike ride! Royal Enfield Rider Mania. Excited! Will be offline for few days. Once back i plan to do a photo shoot and detailed review of the car

A few Shots at night of the car.
Also few snaps of the interior with the seat cover
Nice Pictures!
She is looking Smoking Hot [clap]
The first one is my favorite.
Man I just could not zero down on my seat cover.
Actually I am expecting a bit more to emboss my Own Name along with the Scorpio brand[roll]
Also just to let you know that on my recent visit to the showroom, I came to know that Mahindra has released the rear-view camera for the S10 coming in stock shortly.
This will show integrated display along with the distance and an additional feature will be that it can be kept on at all times, even when you are going forward.

I am interested to know a few things around the running in of the vehicle.
I drive below 80 most of the time. On highways a couple of times i have touched 100. But never driven consistently at that speed.
What is the suggested speed for the running in?
I also try not to accelerate much and drive as smooth as possible.
Is there anything else i need to do or take care at this time?

Frankly "Running -In" is a Big Topic for debate[roll]
But I have had the experience, of difference between a properly runned in the engine and not, so I do believe in the process.

Nothing Much Mentioned in the Scorpio Manual as well regarding Running-In
but few more small Pointers and Practices I have followed and it came out very well for my last Scorpio:

1. Do Not Lug the Engine too much ( and try to maintain this practice throughout) for our car it Lugs below 1500 RPM starting from 3rd gear Onwards.

When in gear, if you accelerate and the car is unable to accelerate - that is lugging.

If you hear gurgling, grinding or other noises that reduce when the RPMS increase - thats lugging.

What does lugging do?
Lugging means the engine is unable to push down on the pistons because of unrealistically high load placed. This can lead to incomplete combustion, increased emissions, WORSE mileage, detonation and carbon deposits in your engine.

2. Though it seems to be easier to follow but try Not to Skip gears at any point, be it Up shifting or vice-versa.

3. I have made a habit to wait minimum 20 seconds after Starting the vehicle and prior Stopping her for the Day. I usually Put on the seat-belts, sun-glasses, set up the music and connect the cellphone to the car prior rolling her in gear which really takes up more than 20 seconds.

4. I have ALWAYS Re-fueled her on First Reserve Voice Alert till Full-Tank.

5. Nitrogen in Tyres @32Psi and believe me there is No Alternative.

Finally,
Please Do Not forget to Speed Up Frequently when you are past 1000 Kms!
as the Piston which is now well seated due to comfort driving for first 1000 kms needs to smoothen the cylinder walls for much better performance.[drive]

Next thing in the list was to do a floor lamination. I wanted this done quickly as dog's hair fall on the carpet

This was a huge task, removing all the seats and emptying the floor for the leather based lamination.
Rarely you get to see your car in this shape.

The lamination cost was Rs.3,500.
Congrates.............

In mumbai from where you did it?
