Visisted a friend today who run an accessories shop. he does 3M coating for antitrust at Rs.2000/- He gives 3 years warranty as well.
I think I will go for the same. I know him since very long and he said he will do brush rather than gun.
Also they will do the coat twice in an hour interval.

WOW a Good Deal Indeed [clap], 3M is really a Good Choice.
I am also opting for a 3M Paint Protection and Anti-Rust from my accessory guy, who is indeed like my elder Brother!
Have to confirm regarding the Price and Warranty from him.
But just to confirm, I do not see much people using the brush because it does miss out on few places and you do not get a smooth finish as that of an Air-Gun, and not to mention the time it takes.
But Yes I got to agree that Brush Painting being the Text-Book Old-School way you do get a thick layered, good Quality coating of the paint.[cheers]
And trust me, because Painting is indeed one of the Major jobs on-board the ship.

Finally the beauty arrived !
Took delivery this morning around 12:00. The dealer had kept the car ready with all the necessary documents. Took a round of the city with family.

The first thing I noticed in the car was that the seats needs a cover immediately. With the summer and sweat I could already see the seat getting dirty. Made a visit to my regular seat guy.
The decision on the colour and pattern was of my wife and daughter. Black cover with beige strips matching the dashboard and red stitching to match the colour of the car. Will be ready in few days.
The cost of the cover was Rs.6,500.
This guy does a neat job as he has done the seat covers in most of my previous cars.

Next thing in the list was to do a floor lamination. I wanted this done quickly as dog's hair fall on the carpet

This was a huge task, removing all the seats and emptying the floor for the leather based lamination.
Rarely you get to see your car in this shape.

The lamination cost was Rs.3,500.

Teflon coating was done as well as i had seen good result in my red Ford Figo. It costed Rs,2,000
Tried just replacing the speakers with a better Watt Boston speakers, how ever could find any improvement in the sound quality.
Decided to wait for a while on the audio part as I had bad experience with installing amp in the old Scorpio. I think it needs some time, research and thinking. That can wait. The stock system is not that bad.

Congratulations[clap]
Finally You got your hands on the Beast, Looks really good in Red.
Just remembered the quote I used to say when I was a kid "Red Car, Good Car"[:D]
Also I loved the Night click in which the other cars seems to be afraid of the beast and turned their backs!
Wish You
Millions of Happy and Safe Kms Ahead!

Congratulations.
Any rear view camera facility with OEM head set? Any EBD with brake system? How is the clutch pedal operations, soft or hard to press fully?

Mathew,
Thank you.
The car is equipped with ABS from S6 version on wards. I am not sure of EBD as it is not mentioned anywhere in the manual or feature list
The rear view camera is not yet available. The dealer told me that it would be launched in a months time.
I would say the clutch pedal and gear has improved drastically compared to the outgoing model. I did a 300 kms drive this morning, Mumbai to Surat. I found the drive effortless.
Yesterday I was roaming in Mumbai traffic all day and the clutch operation was comfortable. The gear ratio has reduced as well. So it is easy to slot in.

congratulations on your red beast, finally on hands now.
wishing you many happy miles with your ride and looking forward to see the seat covers, which ones are being finalised.
On the previous version clutch operation was pretty hard as well as gear vibrations which is good to hear that has been resolved to much extent.
