Another observation i had was the insurance quoted by dealer in the per forma invoice was 49 K. I did a quick check online for the policy and the best quote i received is 37 K. I have asked the dealer to give me the details of the insurance like depreciated value etc for the comparison. Will take a call post comparison to go with the dealer to get an insurance online.
Finally got the insurance online for 33K. That was the best deal. I compared the various insurance options including the one given by the dealer. So it is a flat saving of 16 K.

Just for your information while buying insurance online for a new car, you just need the engine and chasis number. In the vehicle registration column you can write new and proceed. I did this on ICICI Lombard site.

The dealer is insisting on few anti rust treatments for the car.
Treatment Cost
Antirust (Underbody) 5,500
Paint Protection 5,000
Engine Coating 1,000
Cavity Treatment 2,500

What do you all suggest? Is it really need for the vehicle and if yes then can i wait for few months before i do it?

@shijose anti-rust and paint protection is really effective when the car is brand new
Mahindra usually does the Maxicare Treatment which is not quite effective specially the paint protection.
So I would Suggest either you get these treatment done from 3M or Meguiar.
I found 3M offers Good Value for money especially their warranty system in which you can re-do the under body anti-rust once within a year for free.
Maxicare is the cheaper option and also offers the same scheme in which you get 2 free Anti-rust coating in a year.
My Suggestion is to get a Good Quality job done By the Professionals who specializes in Car Detailing.

Thanks Rohit. I will have it checked with 3M and other here. Will pen down my experience as well on this. My car will go for registration tomorrow. Should have it with me by 5th Nov as promised.
While doing the insurance I did a small mistake, the address of the insurance has to match the one in which you are registering the car. I had this different in my case and had to get it changed for the insurance policy.

You are Welcome!
I also had refused the showroom guys not to do any Maxicare treatment.
Do update on your decision.
On a different note , Is that Insurance address matching an issue?
Oops I didn't know that [frustration]
Because my last vehicle had different insurance address on every renewal.
(Due to frequent change of locations)
This Bajaj Allianz guys told me that just the vehicle needs to be registered to my permanent address and the insurance can be of any other temporary address where u stay!
[confused]

The Dealer told me that the issue might crop up at the time of registration. If you have already registered it is fine. Post registration year on year you can have the address of your choice for the insurance.

Got a glance of the beauty this morning. Getting ready for delivery tomorrow.[clap][clap]
Few initial pics. Excuse the quality. Better ones post delivery.
I am following this up with few initial remarks on the captain seat version and findings

The captain seats are relatively narrow and too close to the door. I think the reason for this is Mahindra has not done a separate configuration for the captain seat option. It is the eight seater option with the middle seat in the middle row removed. I checked an 8 seater in the showroom and found the exterior bucket seats matching exactly in position to the captain seats in my car!
This seating has an obvious advantage. Lot of space between the seats. Easy access to third row and this space can even be used to keep luggages
The ugly side is that the back rest adjuster is so close to the middle row pillar that you have to pull the seat ahead to adjust it.
