Re: New Ford Figo Trend (Diesel): Ownership Review

Seems like ford have silently upgraded rear headrests to adjustable ones from the mid october batches.
No mention of it on the website though.
Found this on another thread.

Ford should be complemented for their speedy action, if the news is correct. [clap]

Titanium petrol!!
Guys is it only me or anyone else also has noticed that even petrol variants also of the new Figo are finding the buyers.

BTW it's good of Ford to react so quickly on the consumer feedback. Adjustable headrests were needed on the Figo, being it's fixed ones set a bit too low for providing any decent comfort. IMO it becomes a gamble between thigh support or headrest in the Figo with fixed ones.

All good.
And im lookin to buy the figo diesel as well in the near future.
But IMHO the HU in the variants below titanium+ look a little plain jane.
They shoud have kept the same HU from the titanium+ but just without the 4 inch display.

Has anybody thought of blackening the inner bezels of the headlight?
The models in mexico and south africa get these.
Really enhances the look.
I guess it wouldn't cost much to get this done.
Would it?

@ vipul - don't know about the adjustable headrests but they still haven't rectified the brochure. it still shows the trend variant have chrome surround grille.

@ fordguy - it wont be an easy process. the headlights needs to be open by using a heat gun and then paint the required area and finally closing it by using aftermarket adhesive which may cause headlight to get moisture if it isn't closed properly.

@ naveen - thanks for your wishes. and yes i will keep updating this thread [:)]

Hey guys.
What is the waiting period for the figo in your respective states?.
I was just told 3 months by a friend of mine.
I wanted to book the figo.
But 3 months is frustrating.

I had gone to look at Aspire last month (last week) for a relative. I casually enquired the waiting period for both Figo & Aspire Titanium/ Titanium versions and they said 1.5 months at max. Although it depends on color they said, grey, white, silver can be had early while Ruby Red, Gold will take time. So 3 months is a bit too much. Which dealer did you're friend refer to ?

Re: New Ford Figo Trend (Diesel): Ownership Review

@allhyundaicars - Congratulations and thanks for the amazing review on the car, I had booked Figo diesel trend and the car has been allotted already, looking forward get the car delivery on December 1st week, I really hope they have replaced the rear headrest with the adjustable, the whiplash at any sudden breaking scenario surely looks awful if some-ones neck isn't properly supported.

I booked the car inBangalore from Metro Ford, no discounts what so ever except for Aspire 25k free insurance and extended warranty this Nov.

I initially took TD of Figo petrol trend and really felt like I was driving an alto but after reading many other reviews about ford's 1.5 powerful tdci engine I changed my booking to diesel trend, I did not even take TD of the diesel figo and await the feeling of driving my first diesel car at the time of delivery!

@ fordguy - i was told that most of the variants are available when i booked but only white and red colors. you can check with another dealer.

@ docinheaven - congrats for your car. you will love the diesel's performance. i occasionally floor it hard and everytime there's a big smile on the face. and like i said before i just hate the big smoke tail left behind :/

ask your adviser to give you the vin details and to tell you when the car arrives at the dealership. do a pre-delivery inspection and check all the things including the headrest.

also , completed 1000kms in under a month.[:D]

Nice review. Even I have not taken Tata Bolt into consideration just because of its exterior. IMO its really the outdated look of Vista that killed this good car.
