@allhyundaicars
bro please confirm is the sound coming from door closing is solid THUDD or cheap metal striking
Mate,
The door closing sound is not at all premium. There is cost cutting easily visible. Me and my bro found the sound cheap and even irritating when we went for TD. However, we ignored this short coming as we loved the way it drives (Or should I say fly [;)]). Its surely a driver car. Note: Only Diesel model I am talking about here.

Other plus is that diesel engine is silent. NVH levels are good. At the back seat the person will say that it is petrol engine. However, I did only a short TD. I would love comments on sound level from our bro (allhundaicars).

Re: New Ford Figo Trend (Diesel): Ownership Review

^^ i used to drive a verna petrol [embarass] before the figo. now why did you ask about nvh from a hyundai owner [lol] you know that even the deisels of hyundai have very low noise.

anyways , drove the verna today after 10 days and it was so silent.

in thr figo ,there is engine noise at idle but when you are crusing at 40kmph and above you won't get much noise from the engine. the engine settles at that point and the vibrations and sound is gone.

come to 10-20 kmph and you start feeling the noise but i guess it's normal for a diesel. don't know about swift but a 100% better than the ritz.
i guess even polo's engine is loud.

i dont mind the sound as i floor it hard whenever i get the chance [:D]

ps : the car doesn't pick up well in 2nd gear at 10-15 kmph speeds. the car starts to shake as i am accelerating. i test drove the amaze diesel and i was able to speed up in 2nd gear at 10kmph very easily and without any shakes.

@Fordlover:
Sirji this thud or thunk sound has something to do with the lock mechanism too. No doubt the doors are light but still are reasonably built by the segment standards. In fact, the vehicle comes equipped with the side impact protection/package as per the information received from VIN.

All in all, it's by no ways such a big deal. Maybe this door sound can be attributed to the presence of beading on the chassis instead of the door like many other cars. Important is to see how it fares in long run and that's what I am still quite assured of it being a Ford.

@AHC:
As I always say "typical spoilt Hyundai customer" :biggrin:
Hyundai owners always find an issue or two with clutch, gearshifts or NVH of every other car.

just checked both the rear doors. the right side door closes with more sound than the left one.
the autocop guy did remove the left side door beading to place a wire.
also found this sticker on both of the rear doors(upper side ) ? any idea what are these for ?

Does the trend variant have keyless entry?
yes it has. although there is only 1 remote key. the spare is normal.

got the 2nd tankful today. covered 425 kms and the tank took in 25 liters exact [lol]

mileage of 17kmpl which seems pretty good considering idling and few power bursts on the highway.

the usage is 30% highway and 70% city. and ac usage was around 80%.

Bro,

Only 17. I am expecting it to deliver approx 20. Is it due to initial run in period and will improve after first service? They claim 25 so I was expecting it to deliver around 20.

Re: New Ford Figo Trend (Diesel): Ownership Review

see the ratio. i covered only 120 kms out of 425 kms on highway. i went to murthal and you know there are traffic lights plus normal jams.

and i dont think there will be any improvements. because my verna gives me the same mileage as it used to give me on the first tankful.

if i cover 100% on highway it will easily give a mimimum of 20 kmpl without any doubt.

Re: New Ford Figo Trend (Diesel): Ownership Review

i just checked the sound and yes it's different from the sound made my the other glasses but the same sound is coming from my santro's rear glass as well. so don't think it's an issue.

and i too didn't receive any bulbs. in which document it was written ? i saw a page mentioning all the accessories but didn't check the bulbs.
