@Allhyundaicars_
Does your trend model have a gear shift indicator?
Also what mileage do you get in the city?

yes it has when you turn on the economy mode. the last tank gave me 14 kmpl in city , mix of ac usage. ( mid showed less than 14 :p) after tankful mid was constant at 15.6 kmpl. today did a 120 km highway trip , car was planted and a rocket to drive. much better than my verna' suspension which goes up and down at 80 kmph on the same road.

on highway i reset the trip meter and it showed 23.5 kmpl so a minimum of 20 kmpl on highways. and fyi , not following the run in period :p

23.5kmpl is very impressive! :D
Does the economy mode make any other difference other than hinting when to change gears?

Re: New Ford Figo Trend (Diesel): Ownership Review

haven't experiences any changes just yet when i change the mode but in verna the engine seems eager to upshift after reaching a specific speed.

eg : economy mode on , say speed is 40 kmph and in 3rd gear the car wants to upshift(engine seems strained) turn off the mode and the car feels it can go past 50 kmph in 3rd gear easily. with economy mode off engine becomes more rev happy but like i said this is for the verna.

ps : never take the mid figures as actual figures. there will be + - 1 kmpl. after some time the mid will show close to the real figures.

@AHC:
This is what I was talking about, the side impact package which consists of strengthening of doors and pillars for fairing well in case of a side impact:

thanks vipul for this information [thumbsup] didn't know ford has this feature. vw have hung doors showing the side impact beam at their showrooms.

anyways coming to the doors. both the rear doors have started squeaking even in minor potholes [frustration]

Squeaking!! [surprise]
That also a car that runs in Delhi NCR!!
Reach the A.S.S. ASAP and get it checked and also inquire the reason for the same. If this issue has arisen so quickly, then what will happen to the cars which play on the bad roads of U.P?

Re: New Ford Figo Trend (Diesel): Ownership Review

i was thinking to go in the first service ? none of our other cars do this , santro is at 140k , i10 at 84k and verna at 28k.

figo has started squeaking at just 600 kms. [anger]

@ ford guy - indeed those looks awesom [thumbsup] i think the cost of alloys only should be around 30k.

Squeeking at this early stage seems pretty unusual. (considering squeeking even in small potholes like you've stated)
I suggest you to get it checked right away and not wait until 1st service.
Anyways , How bad is it ? Is it annoyingly loud?

Sirji go and get it checked soon, you never know if there is something that went loose and maybe will result in something even more frustrating if you keep driving this way only.

I know that the doors are very light. However, squeaking!! so soon. Seems, my decision to wait, starting to look wise one. Really interested to know what the ford guys say about this.

sure. will update whenever i visit the service center.

although love the bluetooth feature. in verna i couldn't change tracks from the steering control and had to press play on the phone but in figo you just turn on the bluetooth of your phone. select bluetooth mode in the car and it will automatically start playing the song and i can change the songs via steering controls. but can't make calls via the steering controls. i cant even redial the last number.

the lane change indicator comes in handy.

@allhyundaicars
bro please confirm is the sound coming from door closing is solid THUDD or cheap metal striking.[:)]
as i have gone through various reviews i found the sound is nt THUDD and it seems they did not use proper rubber cladding over there
