" I don't know why but this message gets displayed everytime i start the car. What to do ? The adviser said it won't show after some time ?"

Hello to all car lovers,

I have just joined this forum today. This is my first post and I am very excited to interact with all like minded wonderful people here.

The "Transp" message is by default on all the new ford cars. All the new cars are in transport mode by default. The car will exit automatically from this mode after a run period of 80 kms. You can turn off this mode. You tube has videos informing how to exit from transport mode. Please check:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xw_yVB6vRIk

I think your car has already done 80 km till now and it should be in normal mode now. This information might help new ford owners. My two cents on first day. [:)]

Cheers,

Re: New Ford Figo Trend (Diesel): Ownership Review

Ford India seems to have great potential with the new design language (aston martin inspired stance) and the new 100ps motors for the figo , figo aspire and the new engine for the ecosport but really pathetic in marketing their products the right way.
Existing advertisements also do not appeal to the Indian demographic in my opinion.
For example :-
Why such a cheesy ad for ford figo with a lame storyline?
Ps: The orange gold colour really does not do justice to the car.
And many people are gonna be turned off by it (as we know first impression is the best impression) ford really should have gone with black or white.

My Pleasure @ allhyundaicars

BTW we share same liking. I have also finalized Ruby Red Ford Figo Trend Diesel. TD was done last Saturday at Harpreet Ford, Moti Nagar. The 1.5 Diesel is a delight to drive.

Congratulation for your new beauty. The seat covers also look amazing.

I have delayed my buying for 2 months as want to have 2016 model. Baleno pricing should force Ford to continue introductory price for at least 2-3 months more. Thanks to MSL. Hopefully 2 months do not change my preference and then I would be having a carbon copy of yours.

How is the quality of the stock audio system?
Is there lose of clarity when volume is increased ?
Does it come with tweeters? Or just 4 speakers?

@ ford guy - i completely agree. the product is good but they dont spend much on marketing. haven't seen any ad in the newspapers as well. people still think the maintenance will be high but they have used parts priced similar to maruti's.
the speaker aren't that great. just average. and it has 4 speakers. don't know about tweeters.

@ auto pilot - thanks for your wishes. if you do plan to buy update the quote you get and talk to mr sanjul soin. because of him the whole process was smooth and he's nice to deal with. don't pay the handling charges , i got essential kit free plus cushions and neck rest plus a perfume. saved around 10000 rs. plus lesser insurance from outisde.
if they don't give you the deal that i got , maybe my reference will get you the deal.
and the seat cover shop is in front of hansraj college ( main entrance ) you will see the mechanics , ask anyone.

Re: New Ford Figo Trend (Diesel): Ownership Review

Thanks for your help @ allhyundaicars.
This site is amazing. I joined today and already I have a friend to help me out in my purchase. Sanjul Soin, was in fact the person who handled all my queries and accompanied me on TD. Yes, that guy is nice.
Sure, I will update the quote here. I am certainly not going to pay for nonsense handling charges.
I am sure that they will match the deal offered to you. In case I require your reference, I will let you know.
I am interested in having reverse parking senser. He quoted 2k to me. I will try to get it for free.
Are you not looking to get the sensers on your car? I find them very helpful. My other concern was can the sensers be painted to match the body color. Mr. Soin answer was that yes, they will be painted to match the body color. However, I doubt if he was correct here. Do you have any idea that can I get the body colored sensers from them?

Re: New Ford Figo Trend (Diesel): Ownership Review

I remember he quoted 2K. However if he denies now, I can't do anything as I have not booked the car. He also confirmed that they will be matched as per body color. Though I have serious doubts about it.

Are the Autocop sensors black ones or do they match ruby red color of your car? Aftermarket price is always less but this is an electrical item. If you will install the sensors from outside, I think your electrical warranty will be void. Isn't it?

Re: New Ford Figo Trend (Diesel): Ownership Review

whatever deal you get , ask him to give in writing. earlier he said that he will give me 10% on accessories. on delivery date , i aksed him to show me the sensors and there was a lady standing besides him , i think she was the accessories department head and she seemed annoying. i thrice told her that i have got insurance from outside but she was like " sir buy from here , peaceful process " " sir you didn't take loan from us , buy the insurance" it was so irritating. anyways when i asked about the discount she said " who said 10% , him ? i can give you 5% thats it. " well if the head said so , what could sanjul do.

obviously they could give me 10% but i didnt like the behaviour at all so didn't bother getting it done from them.

i have black color sensors. mate go through the previous pages , pages aren't that much :p i have updated everything.

ford also uses autocop ,they had same connectors. autocop guys (aftermarket) did 2 wire splicings in the tail lamp wire to connect the mirror and the sound. this is done to have the mirror function only when the reverse gear is engaged.

also ford use just beep beep sound and no talking ( i wanted beep beep , hate this talking model)

they too have to do something to a wire so that the sound from the sensors comes only when the reverse gear is engaged. i am interested to know how they will achieve this without splicing any wire. and if you see ford official accessories page you will see they have written no cutting and splicing of wires. i dont believe it.

if you visit the dealer click a pic of the setup. for everything else there are connectors.

the wire goes into the autocop box after splicing the reverse gear wire. the sensors , the mirror wire have connectors which fit directly to the box.

Re: New Ford Figo Trend (Diesel): Ownership Review

Thanks again.

I have read all the pages of your thread. Might be I forgot about the color of the sensers. Excuse me for asking you again. :sorry:

You are correct that they reduced the accessory discount as you did not take the loan and insurance from them. They all are same, only interested in business and gives a damn to customer interest. I would have also done the same i.e purchase from outside even if it result voiding of warranty.

I understand your point that it is not possible to install sensers without cutting wire. These are lame excuses to deny the warranty and nothing else. They are OK if they cut the wiring but not OK if anyone else does. Reason: They lost the business so they will now not honor the warranty.

I will take the picture of the setup, whenever i will go again.

you may go the diy route by masking the bezel and spraying the subject area with spray paint cans.
